Another spammer appeared in the Cryptocurrency discussions board, which is not at all strange - however, it seems to me that it is an alt account already before mentioned @luckyledger, because the writing style is very similar, and in order to disguise his posts to some extent, he uses the quote option completely unnecessarily.

It should be noted that @luckyledger has slightly changed his post pattern in the sense that he does not post burst all at once, which indicates that he may be using his alt accounts at the time.

Will let admin check IP addresses. No point in reporting as multi-account without proof, a hunch that they are the same users is not proof.

I definitely agree that it is not right to accuse people based on feelings, but the style and way in which both profiles communicate indicates a high probability that these are alt accounts. Unfortunately, I think that there could be more profiles related to these two already mentioned, which indicates that someone is trying to create an alt farm, either for the purpose of abusing sig campaigns or shilling.

Granted I wouldn't of asked admin to check if I didn't have my suspicions, especially as the newer account was created after warning the older one.

I just meant not much point in adding a report to the multi-account thread as it wouldn't contain any tangible evidence to investigate.

Unfortunately, I think that there could be more profiles related to these two already mentioned, which indicates that someone is trying to create an alt farm, either for the purpose of abusing sig campaigns or shilling.

The IP itself was checked, so three accounts were tagged in total for clarity. That should resolve any potential ability to abuse sig campaigns in the future.

We have already established that these are alt accounts and that they are spamming the forum - but it seems that no fines have prevented them from continuing to do the same thing as before. Each profile makes 10 posts a day, which means that we have 30 posts in the spam category every day.

All three users have received a warning. In the case of luckyledger it is the third warning it has received, so it has also received the first strike.

Over the next few days (when I have a little more free time) I will review the posts of those three users and in addition to eliminating the worst quality ones, I will make a decision about the next sanctions.

@Freemind, it seems that nothing affects the person behind those profiles, even today they continue with the same behavior and it seems to me that the ultimate goal is to reach a certain rank, and then pay to have all the penalties removed. Whoever is behind all three profiles seems to know how things work on the forum

Sounds like the right decision, clearly luckledger ignored both my previous warnings so a strike is very much due. I probably should have given the strike sooner with 2nd warning in hindsight. 

If continues can be given 2nd then 3rd strike I think, the latter will then prevent the user from spamming with numerous posts. It does seem like an odd strategy to be posting so much, presumably in order to increase rank, given that generally signature campaigns don't accept multi-accounts and are less likely to accept members with strikes as well.

$25 isn't exactly cheap to have 3 strikes removed simply in order to rank up, especially if you pay to have it removed then it get's returned

This will show them that even if they pay to remove sanctions, they will still have a long (and troublesome) road to reaching new ranks.

What they still don't know (or don't want to know) is that they won't achieve their goal even if they pay, because all those accounts will have three strikes in a short time if they continue as before.

I believe that deleting posts in this particular case is the only option that can send a clear enough message that such behavior should be stopped. Obviously, this is about testing the ultimate limits that can be reached before hitting the wall - and I'm really curious if even after deleting the posts, he will be persistent in what he's doing.

Deleting this type of posts is the best message that can be sent. When users see that they are not reaching new ranks over time despite their insistence, they will realize how much time they have wasted and that by doing things right they would have already achieved their goals.

I immediately thought of a beginner, but this member has just under 200+ karma, although honestly (at least by my standards) his posts are not at an enviable level of quality. Looking at a few pages of his posts, I can only say that they remind me a lot of those profiles that I reported a few posts above...

A total of 21 posts today, but what's interesting is the time gap between the posts, which is only 2-3 minutes - and it's not one line posts. I don't know if AI has a role in this or if several users write these posts and then one of them publishes them. In any case, it doesn't look natural.

After using several AI detectors, the evidence leaves no room for doubt. Not all post content is created with AI, but a percentage is.





I wouldn't want the iron fist to return... For now I will just give the user a warning so he have the option to change the way they interact with the forum. I will be watching him, if he continues in the same way he will get some badge that he will not like.
