Karma - thank/punish
« on: November 01, 2017, 04:36:09 PM »
The +karma/-karma links under each profile avatar are responsible for karma, to thank (+) as well as punish (-) users
Senior members and above have the ability to issue karma. Don't abuse it, otherwise you will have your issuance revoked

  • Positive karma is granted to users providing good answers, interesting questions, useful topics and helpful contributions to the forum
  • Negative karma is given to users who are misbehaving, breaking the rules, being aggressive or disruptive to the forum

How Karma works:
  • Positive Karma will grant bonuses from time to time and shows that you are a contributor to the forum
  • Negative Karma reduces your points and you won't be eligible for forum managed bounties and airdrops
  • The Paid group Immortals are not influenced by negative karma
  • Positive Karma can be exchanged into ALTS - expired

When you will get Positive Karma:

When you will get Negative Karma:

Removing negative karma with ALTS/ALTT (and points):

  • Removing negative karma: You lose some of your points and you need to burn 1 ALTS or 1$ worth of ALTT per negative karma.

Appealing negative karma in court: (with points)
  • If you have negative karma, you can appeal it in the Forum Court. Reserved for valued members who have points
  • When appealing in the court, the negative karma removal cost goes up by a factor of 4 as follows:
    • 1 negative karma: - 100 to 250 points
    • 2 negative karma: - 400 to 1,000 points
    • 3 negative karma: - 1,600 to 4,000 points
    • 4 negative karma - 6,400 to 16,000 points
    • 5 negative karma - 25,600 to 64,000 points
  • Read the rules of the court before appealing. Otherwise you will receive negative karma

I like KARMA, but maybe if someone give positive or negative karma to someone else should write few words why. Because now it is just THE CLICK. Nothing else.

It will be good if we can click on user's KARMA and see reason for positive or negative karma, including username who rated this user.
Because I am afraid of misuse of this power.

Or maybe mods have to confirm in some way postive / negative karma. Or something like that.

for now only full members and above can grant karma, maybe later we can restrict it to senior and above

I definitely agreed with your opinion sir   ;) but the admin is wise he create log to know whose the one can abuse the power of giving Positive (+) & Negative (-) Karma to monitor everyone in short if someone give Negative karma without any valid reason the admin will give them Negative karma. this is only my opinion correct me if im wrong admin  :)

There are times when you say or do something, and you feel like wow! This is awesome. On that occasion, is it possible that someone gives himself a positive karma? Or you have a program monitoring that too?
