Yes I also believe holding is the best strategy in order to get return and one should not be jolted by the previous year bearish trend. We all know market moves both ways and we should always ready for such moves. I know in 2017 I hold several coins and they give me good return by holding If I sold instantly when the coin get listed I wouldn't been earn good profit but I know holding for long will give us good fruit in the end.

Very true Holding your wins is the only way to make money. Holding needs a lot of patience but the rewards are also amazing if you can hold your trades for long-term. Sometimes hodling can be only wise choice you had at that moment. I have some coins in my portfolio, some of them decreased to almost %10 of percent my buying price. So maybe i can take risks and start daily trading for profiting but due to my line of work, you can do that. I am taking the other road, which is safer, HODLING until the bull season comes.

Holding is a good strategy to earn profit from crypto yet trading yields higher returns. Traders especially Day-traders are always on the move to make profits irrespective of the market trend. Imagine a crypto Day-trader making a $50 profit everyday and a holder making a $1000 profit at the end of let's say a year (Some holders do not earn anything even at the end of the year due to the hodling of shitcoins).

Long term is one of the best one can go for but he should buy from low price,
my view is holding 10 good coins not one and start do a swing trade between them, why because not all rise at the same time.
