At it's current state Bitcoin is definitely more a commodity than a payment medium. Even though high commission problem is already solved,  transaction jams still are a regular occurrence which make Bitcoin anything but a convenient and fast way to pay for your daily needs.

Indeed, many banks and financial institutions hated cryptocurrency, because with the existence of this cryptocurrency, their services as third parties in transactions will be lost, because the method adapted by cryptocurrency is peer to peer (P2P), ie transactions without the use of third parties.

To become digital gold I feel a different meaning. Community has a real form even though buying and selling can be in digital form. But bitcoin itself is only limited to virtual payment instruments with high security.

Although gold is an excellent investment option for the purpose of accumulation, gold trading is less volatile, its market is much more liquid and highly regulated. In addition, gold is a traditional asset in investment portfolios.

Bitcoin is a decentralized virtual currency but so many likened it to a digital gold .
You know it cannot  be felt, so calling it digital gold is logically correct

Bitcoin can not normally perform the function of digital gold because of its high price volatility. Where did the digital gold of Bitcoin of those who bought Bitcoin at the end of 2017 at a price of about $ 20,000 share?
If it is digital gold, then it should not so quickly and most importantly, fall so deeply in price. What is it then yes digital gold?

Everyone knows that gold and bitcoin are physically different, functions, values , and uses. Maybe as a bitcoin investment tool more valuable than gold, but the fluctuating nature of bitcoin that should be considered by someone before investing.

So many people seems to likened bitcoin to be digital gold.
I have never been able to understand the rationale behind that .
Bitcoin is what it is , a decentralized virtual currency and not any gold .
I may be wrong though.

Bitcoin is just a virtual decentralized currency and not any digital gold
It is a currency and it's functions do differ from gold.
It is just what it is a virtual decentralized currency.

This is just a comparison.Bitcoin must will start to compete with gold to become the world’s premier economic option and it will have good chances especially if investors start selling gold for the major crypto.

I see Bitcoin as a digital gold because not everyone can effort it just like gold. The price of one bitcoin is in thousands of dollars though it is at its low value now.

Bitcoin was created with that ambition but because of the price is too volatility so it can only replace silver now, for replacing gold it need to stable and well control in the price too

Yes Bitcoin is a digital gold.
It is a virtual decentralized currency. Just like gold can be mined, Bitcoin can also be mined.
And when you talk about return on investment .....gold and Bitcoin also has high return on investments.

Although there is such thing called as DGC or Digital Gold Currency as better explained here, Bitcoin can never be a digital gold but simply a cryptocurrency designed to work as a medium of exchange the purpose of which it is to have a decentralized currency or a bank-free method used to transfer wealth or ownership of any other commodity without the need of a third party which is accepted throughout the world.
