Yes, and they not really serious. Most projects should not be taken to heart. They talk about their token or coin as if it is already in use telling you endless possibilities. They still dream until they become a reality. At least if they make some progress towards their goals that would be fine but many projects just give up or simply take their chances.

In my own opinion, the death of most crypto projects can be caused by :
1. Less support from the community. So, there is a lack of sell-buy the tokens/coins in the market.
2. Bad quality of the products or MVPs. This can trigger the bad interest of investors to join.
3. Bad quality of the team members. Team members have big rules, they should know how to improve the project and attract people to join.
4. Investors are afraid to join crypto projects because of too many losses and negative issues.

As I see, most failed due to just making a coin for fun, and then developers just gave up of pulled a small scam or pump-and-dump scheme. A lot of coins did this.

Previously, a lot of projects collected softcaps and hardcaps,  but still after some time the project team just left the project and the project just died because of various reasons, now usually if the project dies, then it is due to lack of money or just scam project.

My own tought might not be the same with yours but i am sure the reason why altcoins die is because majority of them are copy cats. they are copying from other projects. i see no reason why they will survive when they have nothing to offer. the invention system allows everyone to creat one unique project and make it expectational but the crypto system is filled with copy cats re-writing whitepapers.

Products are very important to increase investment in projects. If from the beginning the product failed and was not supported by a very good team, I made sure that the project would not develop. Besides that the community is very important to maintain the value of the project. The larger the community, the better the results of the project after it is available on the market.

I've seen this a lot of project, there are.so.many exchanges created and dead in the long run.  E commerce are also rampant project created but most of them gone in the long run.

I have seen many projects die because developers don't update their products and ideas.
More and more scam projects because everyone can easily create tokens on the ethereum network and let's look at the Tartaria project that is already in this forum, the website they have is inaccessible, it is very difficult to predict project fraud or not.
