I think that competing is a thing of the past. Nowadays, many projects come up, about collaboration, and reach for the best. There are many coins, around, that are far better that Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. This does not mean that everyone is going to use them. I think that cryptocurrency, will have it's place, and VISA or MASTERCARD will have their places too. Many people need companies to trust, they to not want to take the risk themselves, in case something goes wrong.

Crypto-currency is using Blockchain in decentralized manner and if these system will still prevail in the coming years! will it has a reason to be called crypto is the future currency. But i really doubt it since crypto-currency was still in its infancy and lots of messy stuffs to fix before it can be called a real the future of Money!
