I really don't see any altcoin outright "replacing" BTC. There will be coins with a lot more transactions on them because BTC will be slower and more expensive to transact on. But it'll be interesting to see if ETH will stay the biggest platform or if anything else will seriously compete.

Altcoin will only be able to compete with bitcoin, if cryptocurrency is massively accepted as a savings and calculation unit. I doubt altcoin will replace bitcoin. Many of them are far more technologically faster and cheaper than bitcoin - but this is not a determining factor. There must be a synergistic and healthy competition in the market.

Yes I think altcoins  will replace bitcoin at the coming future,  because For now,  I see there is several potential  altcoins with smart technology

It's almost impossible for any altcoins to replace bitcoin .
Reason being that bitcoin is the reason for the creation of other altcoins and so it won't be easy for any altcoins replacing bitcoin.
Bitcoin is more popular and recognized more than other altcoins.

Indeed. Altcoins possibly improve its value and popularity in the future. But I don't think it can overtake Bitcoin yet Bitcoin is like a special coin in crypto. We have no coin with the same characteristic like Bitcoin.
