it's impossible for bitcoin to disappear. Bitcoin is the spearhead of the digital currency. and everyone needs bitcoin. for altcoins, maybe there will still be a struggle for 2nd place between xrp and eth.

Altcoins will survive but not replace Bitcoin, Since Bitcoin was the father of all crypto-currency if that happen Altcoins will die too since no more pillars will guide it means it will collapse, thats why Bitcoin will stay and not replace by any Altcoins.

Indeed, ETH is on the rise, everyone likes it so it's obsessed with being able to replace the position of bitcoin on the market.
