It doesn't necessarily be that way, I can invest in an ICO because they have a strong product even if I am not planning to use it. So for me to invest in any ICO, it must at least have MVP this is the trend now, I already got burned with ICO that promising amazing product on papers and turn out they can even deliver the first thing in their roadmap in time and keep changing their roadmap over and over again.
Now I look is there is a demo, prototype or MVP before I even decide to look in an ICO for investment whether I am planning to use the product or not that really does not matter for me.
