If we talk which is better do the transaction, I think EOS is better.
But Ethereum is more popular than EOS.
Personally, I invest on both, I have bought EOS and Ethereum at the last year and still hold till now.

However, in fact, EOS was not able to survive well amidst the onslaught of various new blockchain-based projects and networks in the crypto industry. So what is happening now is that EOS is increasingly being displaced. and conversely, ETH is still the number 1 altcoin.

Now, EOS has begun to be forgotten and abandoned. I personally still have EOS that I still keep but it seems that I don't need to have high hopes for this one coin later in the altcoin season. Imagine, the ATH used to be $22.89, but now the price is only $0.6, it has dropped too far, even EOS can only be in position 76. And the developer seems to be inactive or what? because there is no development at all.

In reality, Eos is still under development and has many new updates from ENF. Eos EVM, exSat, RAM... are all promising initiatives but unfortunately, Eos is not chosen by users. Its power is wasted because everything was hyped up right after the ICO, whales did not choose EOS and investors did not want to risk with EOS.

Some other Antelope chains are very successful such as Tlos and Wax, which is proof of the importance of understanding and meeting market needs instead of just focusing on technology and future expectations.

EOS became from one of the tops to now at the top 51-100. There's no hype around the project, and it isn't making any noise online hence, the drop of the market cap. I'm not updated with the project anymore, and I don't think that it will recover anymore which is unfortunate.

Your story is very interesting and you were saved by not being lent money by your friend, because EOS was going down.
I am not a fan of this coin, because I saw only a hype at that time and the project was not that good.
I prefer other top coins.

Eos was once a great project on par with Xrp but unfortunately, it didn't receive the strong backing from B1 as they promised in the 2017 ICO. Eos has been abandoned and unable to develop despite having many superior technologies compared to many current projects.

Dan's conservative philosophy didn't lead Eos to success, while the lack of finance couldn't encourage the long-term development of the ecosystem. EOS has been abandoned by whales and I think it has become a failed project to the regret of investors. I myself did not invest in EOS even though I used to support the translation of Eos news for the local community.
