xrp and eth are two different worlds. xrp is fully centralized and most of the xrp is in the developer's hands. xrp is designed for transfers for large corporations and banks. It has a completely different purpose. Based on eth, it is possible to develop other tokens of erc 20 standard.

I believe now there would be no comparison between XRP and Ethereum as such both are good coins but still I would give more priority to the ethereum because of its erc-20 feature and used by many ICOs to launch their coins as ethereum based and now its hard for XRP to bypass ethereum again in near future as eth is quite far ahead from XRP.

These is Old Thread but i choose to comment about todays latest market condition, Ethereum was return to its former status as the second largerst cryptocurrency in terms of market Capitalization. in addition i believe that the price is not the important aspect to become the best.

Both currencies are good, they shouldnt be compared.... Different technologies, different goals. Ripple is centralized and its aim is different which includes payment and focuses on the banking sector while ethereum is decentralized, its aim is also different, creating smart contracts for other tokens and its uses. The only comparison between them is the demand for eth is higher and that's because of the technology and the smart contract provision for ERC20 tokens. It's used for ICo's, XRP is a long term project. Nevertheless, both are good projects

for a while xpp was better than ethereum, but I strongly believe that xrp is a coin that has the potential in the future at a very good price.
