Why do people get scammed in ICOs?
« on: December 02, 2018, 01:44:27 AM »
Most people get scammed because they fail to study about the project before joining. Some scam or fake projects are very obvious to detect from the website or whitepaper as the information they provide about the team do not exist or incoherent information.
However, a very few scam projects are difficult to detect because they are strategically developed.

It's hard to detect a good Project Ico because some of the project teams have dared to do vlogs and give promises such as coins or tokens to be registered at the best exchange, I always see partners from the new ico project and authenticate team members by looking at several social media profiles and some the visits they made so that I could make sure this project was truly real

What you have mention is the choosing of a legit ICO but what will still make people in fall into scam ICOs is the greed in human and lazy in doing research on the ICO they are investing in.

Why do you re-write the content of the topic above?  ??? I think you are better to deliver your own ideas about the topic. Although you don't really understand to answer, at least don't re-write the content.

People got scammed because of lack knowledge in analyzing an ICO or unlucky factor. I agree if some projects can be detected through whitepaper and team members. While others are smarter to hide the lies in a professional manner.

I totally agree with you that there is an easy to spot scam project and there is a really hard to spot projects but my own experience you can always find a hint that the project is a scam no matter how well played it is, in some situation I saw there was a really good looking ICO that is promising a lot of investors, they had perfect whitepaper, perfect site, and even a good team. But there was always some questions asked without any answers, and people just decided to invest and ignored the unanswered questions, these unanswered questions was the hint that people chosen to ignore.

You know "there is no a perfect crime" there must be a mistake somewhere.

I agree with you, many people who get scam ICOs projects because they don't know about the analysis fundamental of ICOs projects. They don't know how to choose good ICOs projects based on the information their website, should they learn more about the company of ICOs projects, the products of ICOs projects at least the developer of team has products can be used by all of community. And they don't have money management before making investment in the ICOs projects.

Ico Project has a good opportunity if we want to invest. Before the coins listed on the exchange we already have them. But I always look at the project background by reading the whitepaper, to avoid scammers

I agree with you, now hard to find a project ICOs really have pontensi. most people buy ICOs just want to get a quick profit, when entering exchange rates dropped below ICOs.

If we research a project well we can find everything from it .We need to research their road map, whitepaper and team as well .We can get a lots of idea from that to catch a scam project .Some project are strategically well developed as you said which are not able to catch as scammed .So that we have need to research first before joining or investing any project .We get loss most of the time when we join it on blindly .So we need to more careful on it.
