The crypto trading volume and prices.

I have thought of the prices of crypto as the basis on trading to make a good return, but on a second thought, i considered it not actually a yard stick (ie. prices) to make good return on trading especially as a regular trader.
Now, trading volume. Trading volume statistics give a good indication to the traders about the liquidity on a market during a given period of time. It can be used as a helpful indicator as well during trading for reading the market. What are the importance of both trading volume and market price to traders. Please share.
