Can bitcoin survive without altcoins?

BTC is a part of altcoins. It is just another coin so it can survive and will survive. As I remember that crypto coins existed a long time before BTC.

Bitcoin is the first Blockchain technology and it's God of cryptomarket still bitcoin is high valuable and high trade volume coin in cryptomarket actually the whole cryptomarket is depends only bitcoin so definitely bitcoin can survive without altcoins.

Definitely bitcoin is able to survive without altcoins, but it will not be as interesting to invest in bitcoin. I assume that most people get to know investing in cryptocurrency is due to the incredible profit altcoins can make if just bitcoin alone is very possible that it will drive many crypto users away.

In my mind the most important question is SHOULD Bitcoin continue.. It's like if you bought Ford stock but the never stopped making Model Ts. They improved the factory, it's safer and safer. More infrastructure and sales channels are opening up for it... But it's pretty slow and basic in functions. Is legacy enough to justify its eternal existence?

Bitcoin will survive because all altcoin get a place to trade with BTC, in all crypto exchanges I can see BTC is always a concern and altcoin is a complement that provides ideas with new technologies that can be used for transactions faster than Bitcoin.

Without altcoins, Bitcoin cannot absolutely survive.  After all, altcoins are the development of cryptocurrency.  Bitcoin - the ancestor, the altcoins - the continuation of the revolution in society.  Therefore, altcoins are the future.
