For my opinion investing ICO is very risky than investing altcoins, because many ICO's are scam they will ran with your money. If you want to invest in ICO just make it sure that you research of their project, the team, what their goals, just like that.

Depend on your strategy, both investing in ICO and altcoins are actually worthy. However, if we talk about the risk, I think investing in altcoins will have lower risks than in ICO because many ICOs are scams and failed.

I think we only have 2 good options to invest now. They are top altcoins and IEO coins/tokens. I don't think it is a good idea to invest in ICOs. It has been already not really recommended anymore. There are many scams and failed projects there. They are very risky.

I does not think anyone can be sure whether any ICO is good to invest in till it is out in an exchange but you can increase the chance of spotting a potential ICO through various ways like research on team members and their product MVP etc.

funny enough,  they are all still altcoins weather an ico or not. But to answer your question, I suggest you invest in already traded coins or token. Many of this ico are shits else you find a more trust worthy ico

Its up to you But for me since the Market is on recovery I think these is the best time to invest in ICO or IEO just choose with the right IEO Platform on reputable exchange like Binance,Bittrex,Kucoin im sure they are professional enough to handle the IEO's.
