Both coins are best but the issue in XRP is that it did not achieve the target of $1 which due date was Dec 2020, while ETH cross the $1 and is now on the top coins.

It looks like XRP will stay in 2nd place above ethereum. In my opinion and knowledge, XRP is more in demand today because of its cheaper price from ethereum. That means if there is a risk of price reductions on XRP, XRP token holders will experience fewer fatal losses. Whereas in ethereum more often experienced a drastic decline. Maybe that's one of the main reasons. Please correct if my opinion is not correct.
