The current bearish trend will be the longest in BTC history!
« on: January 24, 2019, 04:38:57 AM »

The decline in the market, which has prevailed since the beginning of 2018, for several weeks becomes the longest winter in the history of the cryptocurrency market. Although it is on its way to the longest downtrend in BTC history, the current market has demonstrated the weakest drawdown of the three major bearish trends bitcoin has experienced so far.

The markets during the month after a very long downtrend

On January 16, 2019, Ran Neuner of CNBC tweeted that the bearish trend 2018/2019 entered its 390th day-just 30 days less than the entire bearish trend 2014/2015, which, according to his estimates, lasted 420 days.

While the exact length of the bearish trend is difficult to measure accurately, the tweet highlights the length and intensity of the prevailing cryptocurrency downtrend.

When calculating from the historical high of BTC, which is approximately $19 ' 700 as of December 17, 2017, 401 days have passed since the beginning of the current downturn in business activity. Given the recent low of $3'100, the current bearish market has driven BTC price down to 84%.

Bear market 2014 and 2011

When counting from the record highs that preceded 2017 to the low of the next trend, the bear market 2014/2015 lasted 410 days.

November 30, 2013 prices reached a record high of 1 ' 180 dollars, and then began a long decline which ended only January 14, 2015-prices fell to a local low of $ 155-87%.

The first significant bearish trend in BTC history lasted 162 days from June 9, 2011 to November 18, 2011.

Starting the year at $0.30, BTC climbed to a record high of $29.58 in early June. Markets then lost nearly 93% in just over five months, with the bearish trend easing after reaching $2.14 on 18 November 2011.
