I support you on this because it's very wrong to call the computer the greatest invention whereas there are other interesting inventions we can mention. The computer we know of can be taken as one of the greatest not the greatest as OP put it. let’s do some background research mate this post was posted 7 years ago and the last time op posted was way back 2018 i don’t think we still should be policing him when he doesn’t seem to be active in the forum anymore sure we can still bump these old threads but we need to keep in mind that the standards we have now might not have existed back then or maybe they just didn’t care much about it

In a way computers lead the evolution of many things but don't remember computer didn't came as a first product it's just came after the calculator being a foundation and they needed something to solve more complex. So if maths didn't exist we wouldn't have computer, if calculator didn't exist then we wouldn't have computer, and this list just goes on...

Its one of the greatest inventions, but I cannot call it the ultimate one because it will not come out perfectly without other inventions attached to it, like the calculator and electricity. The computer is an evolution of what man has accumulated and put into a small object; I consider electric lightning as the greatest invention, as it is considered the foundation of electrical architecture.  I could say that inventions that have existed from the onset of technological era till this moment are all important as each of them has their own important role they play in easing human efforts in the course of rendering services and to acquire knowledge. The computer is also very much important on its own because it is  has played a big role in making information accessible to everyone but I really do not think it is the greatest of them all, it could be said that it is amongst the greatest because of the role it plays.
