I would say almost 70-80% projects are failing in the current market yes even nowadays ICOs projects hardly achieve their softcap and hardcap. I believe dev need to work hard on their products If the project is without any good product then we can not expect it would be successful and we see in the past year many coins listed and soon they dropped hard after listing this is also a matter of concern for the investors even current bearish market is also the reason of many project failure because investors are not interested in bearish market.

In my own humble opinion the main reason why ICO is not even reach its softcap because the investors are losing confidence on the ICO's because of the blatant scams that hovering the entire ICO market. for me the best thing to do in order to return the trust and confidence on ICO's and other crowdfunding events is only regulation.

I don't think the dumping is the reason for the failure to reach softcap or hardcap. Commonly the dumping happens once the token sale is already over and token have listed on exchanges. And softcap / hardcap is the achievement of token sales.

I invest in new coins and at that time I bought EXTOKE, I got a suggestion from my friend this is a new and good exchange then I bought this token for $ 200 and it turned out that this project was scam, I was very disappointed and now I am very careful investing

We mustn't afraid of the dump and pump on crypto market. But I think with the dump and pump only on market, it shows us if market fully manipulated by whales. And it is not good for the fairness on market trade-buy coins. A little traders or investors get bad impacts on this action.
