I think altcoinstalk.com is very good forum mate. In here you can reach your rank with your post, not your merit. I like this forum so much.

I have heard information about this a few hours ago. I don't know why they give such strict rules. To get 1 merit is very difficult. Maybe in just one year we cannot get merit to increase rank.

That forum is flooded with spam and shitposters which is why they have done that,i am part of that forum too for about a year but now i would stay here because there are less spam and i think there will be more useful topics here compare to bitcointalk.

That's right. May be, there are still many merit source user who do their job well there.
But also there are many merit source who just abuse merit system only for their self (their rellatives, or their own community). They seem do not care to other users. That's not fair I think

That's right, bro. Bitcointalk is currently lowering its ranks and this has caused a long debate here. Almost all Jr members experienced a decline in rank to become a newbie. And it's very painful, bro. I was also quite shocked and hoped that there was a good explanation here from the admin.

Sorry, I think you should not to compare between forums and you should be wise in filtering the statements that you consider useful. The regulation is very good to implement, and wants a more structured and quality forum atmosphere. I am including a decreasing rank, but i think that the forum should not be filled with spam.

that's the truth, the new one has to work hard to do good, and the funny thing is even I hear merit being traded, 1 merit is around 5-10 usd. is that true in your opinion? Is it true that merit is a good thing for the forum to become better? or actually just to find extra money?

Actually i agree with the system of merit on there but i don't like the system of red trust and green trust on there, many users whom abuse red trust on there, soon or later bitcointalk will be leaved by users, there are many arrogant people on there.
