It is not about the problems because a lot of people knows the problem, but it is about how to solve the problem which has finally become a big problem to the country. The number one problem is bad leaders and corruption. Tell me now how this can be solved in reality and not by mere talking without having any effect on the system. Tribalism and Nepotism will not allow these problems to be solved.

It is better not to talk about our economy as nothing would be implemented and besides your voice doesn't count to our government, you could be here striving solution and the main implementation lays in the hands of our government which they aren't ready for any day to fix such a thing. Do you think you are much more better than them?
NO! because they knew what they are doing over there not because the hardship of the country doesn't get into them as human and individuals they are but they are just being so wicked just to accumulates for their next offspring and generations, relatives and etc. So it's advisable to put your efforts on something that would be benefiting yourself and not counting on the country.

We are not looking for solution here but just for discussion shake. There are three people that causing the problem of Nigeria. One Independent National Commission (INEC). I will not blame the citizens because we are not seers and we vote whom we think will be a Messiah for us but the opposite is always found. And now that the citizens has voted the candidate of their choice, the commission would manipulate the figures to favour someone whom we didn't vote for. And we accept. Now when the person can't perform to the expectations of the citizens. It is the same citizens whom INEC claim from their figures can protest the bad leader to a good shape but the Nigerian Police and Military would support the bad government to intimidating the citizens who are ready to protest against the bad leaders. And the lawyers who supposed speak for the citizens are also part of the oppressions team. So finally the citizens have nobody to support but themselves.

I thought you would mention the judiciary here but I could not see it. Anyways the judiciary is another funny arm of the government that needs to be put in order. The judiciary that used to be the last resort and hope of the ordinary citizens is now the highest bidder takes it all. I wonder how it got to the point where the judiciary became so porous that they lost their judgmental IQ.
These days people do not bother going to the judiciary anymore because of the unfortunate and biased judgements they get from the judgements. Election tribunal is no more dependable for good judgement even if the contestants go to court, it is a thing of the highest bidder takes it all. What a shame, the whole system is messed up begging for resuscitation.

If you were a female, I did love to give you a good kiss 😘 for this input, it's simple and straightforward, and hit the nail on the head.
Personally, I am tired of discussing matters like this online, politics, elections, what ever is related to it, and this is because we are only and always wasting our time, major reason being that, those we are talking or discussing about aren't even here and reading, and the chances that they may ever come across any of the things we post here stands at a 0.00000001 percent, which is as good as impossible.
Personally, it's always better we focus our discussions on sharing financial opportunities, one that will bring us money, because with money, atleast, half of the problems we complain about in Nigeria will be solved, doesn't matter if it's politics or whatever.

And funny enough, when you walk past a group of people discussing politicians and the current issues, you might think their discussion will lead to results by the end of the day. But unfortunately, it often ends right at that moment. We don't really know how to convince many Nigerians that democracy is long gone, and those in power are no longer the government of the people.
The only thing that can benefit both of us now is sharing financial information opportunities. The another problem is that many Nigerians tend to withhold sensitive information because they don't want others to do better than them, which is not helpful as it costs nothing to do so.

I will agree with your observations here because this is common amongst Nigerians. They hoard information and refuse to help others.and I don't know why this mentality and reasoning all of a sudden. Most Nigerians do this so that they would only be the ones leading and wants others to be at their mercy and sing their praises because they alone knows it all which is very bad.
I have had this experience in the past where a friend hoarded an information in the department that could have been of help to other students funny enough he did not scale through the process because he was the only one and was not eligible for it so the department decided to choose from other students and did what they wanted to do. He lost it all and it was like a dream that he lost everything that he thought he would get alone that day. This made other students do away with him and that was how lost everything.

And we are busy making complaints about the government and their incompetence, while we as individuals can't even assist with the little that won't cost a dime. I see no reason why someone will prefer to be the only success among others, when it would have been best If everyone around where just independent. And the truth is, so many of these people ends up without having friends because no one would want to associate with anyone that doesn't carry others along. And I feel this people only think so much about the present, while forgetting that no man lives forever.

Sometimes I wonder what some people do benefit from hoarding information from their peers. What will it benefit them doing so. Do they derive pleasure in seeing their friends, family and loved ones being in abject poverty? Or they prefer that it should be only them that should be the all and all in the space and others should now to them in obeisances.
What is the point of all these? I was wondering and had a dip thought about it but the truth is that you can not change people, no matter how you talk to them, they are still going to do the same, it s just who they are and nothing can change anything about it.

Yeah of course this has no importance analyzing the problem of Nigeria is just like speaking to the deaf whereby after much talks and advice still nothing changes. We have been seeing this topic everywhere on social media, on TV, real life and still nothing is happening ain't we tired about these analysis. But to be frank I like listening to men arguing about the problem of Nigeria you see men shouting on top of their heads talking about Nigeria but at the end no action no solution it only ends with a glass of dry gin or beer and at the end of the day everyone returns home.
So any analysis of Nigeria without solution is irrelevant.

For the description of the situation in Nigeria that you expressed you frustration is quite explicable. When conversations happen with little follow-up the end result is just draining and sceptical. It is very much a fact that the problems which are ahead of the country are very multifaceted and that is why when the two sides are not able to come up with concrete solutions through the course of the argument it is possible to feel like all that has been done is in vain. I think watching the same topics with the same stereotyped discussions on social networks, on TV, and in conversations without any progression can easily cause mental exhaustion and disengagement.
But to complete the whole perception, discussions stay very crucial. In fact, without necessarily offering any positive outcomes, these discussions and arguments may eventually create leads to inform the public. It is finally that one must take the decisive step, stop simply talking about it. Perhaps as a society we should stop arguing about what we disagree and start thinking on how we can begin to make other even the smallest positive step towards change. Not every solution necessarily suggests a radical change that may take place yesterday, but any beginning is better than no beginning if it is sustained consistently.

I know that discussions about Nigeria’s problems look rather boring, and they are constant with no desired outcome, but these discussions are still significant. Such discussions remain valuable because they assist in making us understand that these are not simple issues we are dealing with. Maybe it is high time to turn all our attention to the matters taking place in our surrounding and take effective action based on them which are feasible and achievable in the immediate future. With this awareness elicited by these conversations, change at the local level and good impact on environment can be achieved. That is how these changes begin: when everyone starts taking action, no matter how little, and, collectively, changes can occur.

I agree with you mate, that INEC is the number one problem of this country bad leaders and fueling corruption. INEC turned democracy into the opposite and citizens are not allowed to vote for their choice of leaders and let their votes count. The Judiciary is also another, because that is where the common man runs to for justice but instead, the judiciary supports only the rich due to corruption.

Until people start falling down in the middle of streets and start dying from hunger before some people will start taking this shit seriously.
If a movement starts now, trust me those that were opportuned to have a member of their family in one position will go out and start to preach that people shouldn’t involve themselves in that movement. We saw the last protest and how some foolish influencers who we being blinded by the money they got from the government went on to their social media handle and started to get citizens to remain in their house and some brain rotted fans of theirs also went as far as reposting it for others to see. It’s just crazy to be honest.

Is only the poors that realized the problems of the country because they are the ones that are experiencing it, and it killing them, that is why they are discussing it again and again, hoping for things to fall into place, if the poors have the ability/power to solve the problems they would have done that long before, the only rights we have to prevent bad government is by voting to who we think worth it, just as some people said earlier, but the right has been secretly snatched away from us by INEC, after all they are ones conducting the elections, they will be bribe to conduct fake results and whoever disagree with them will be threatened with his life or his love ones, because a lot of people will vote for a particular candidate and at the end the person that you didn't imagine will be the winner. If that is the case what is the essence of frustrating the citizens to vote, if their voting doesn't count. Eventually everyone is tired of discussing the problems we are facing in the country, because nobody as attempt to solve the problems.

You're correct. It's difficult to determine which candidate will be best for the citizens, because after we vote for them to see a positive change, they all turn to give us the opposite result. We have seen the current administration's weaknesses, but I worry about who will take over in the future and whether they will be there to help the citizens or for the same purpose the current administration came for.
When will the citizens receive the best they've been hoping for? We voted for candidates and parties during the previous administration because our leaders kept confusing us about which one to vote for to get the best and some said we should vote for the candidates or party, and the results were always the same. I hope the next goes well for us, if not, the next always be more difficult I don't know if that is a law.

Selecting the right leader is the dream of every voter, but this is a process that is normally associated with disappointments and calculus. The message of the essay is that Parnell and his administration never provide actual information about governmental performance and thus the independent efforts persist for the people to be active in order to bring change. When we use our voice for the greater good, that hope is not lost.
I really think it is necessary to continue believing that our straightforward contribution fits into a long-term process of change that may not always end in the desired manner. We thus contribute to the construction of a more healthful political environment by supporting the practical approach that includes the process. To change we need to be consistent and that begins here with what we are for.

Hmm a lot is going on in this our country, imagine citizens votes won’t count some are not even recorded but all those INEC and the judiciary are all same government they are Godfathers who controlled them and still they are under those making the difficulties in the country. The poor also get discriminated around the riches and easily the poor are being trashed in this our country even the saying that goes “everyone is equal before the law” is not really working in this our country the government body are really making everything worse and the economy is getting more negative.

The "one Nigeria" confession is more like a gist these days. Most times when a person standing out for the good of the general, they either bring him down or others abstain from assisting and supporting his notion and over time it just fades away.
So it's more like those at the top benefitting from an ill system won't recognise the illness of the system and those trying to get rid of those illnesses become their enemies.

Small actions proves that big change is possible if we can all work towards a common cause. Even though the Electoral candidates have a part to play in the whole mishaps in the country, let's not still forget the fact that there are still some people who are still fully backing up this leader. We lack one voice that is the major problem we have as citizens, when a person is against a leader another citizen is fully in support that government, maybe because of fear or the little benefits he or she is receiving.

This is very sad and disheartening, that the citizens are tired and have nothing to say or do, because whatever is done by the citizens has no effect, and can't change what will be.
The electoral commission who are responsible for providing the actual votes casted by the people, will openly void it and make a total change to everything. If they can stand to say the truth, we will see positive changes, but because of the fear of death, they take bribery and do what they are told and receive the cash attached to it.
When things are going wrong, it is tagged to be right in their site, and when things are to be right, it is seen as wrong and with all hatred and power, they fight it down.

Of a truth, the electoral commission is not helping matters at all, the commission is all about the highest bidder taking it all. They put us in the situation we find ourselves in now. Recently, there has been news circulating online that the national assembly refused or rejected a bill to change the name of INEC, and I was wondering how
that affects the fact that they have done more harm than good to the nation. Well, till the INEC is independent of leadership appointment, we just might still be in this handpicking and godfatherism system of politics we play here because they would always have their way through the commission.

The forms of handpicking and godfatherism of selecting leaders of the country has eaten the country down to its roots/bones, with no hope of rising again to its feet. It is so disheartening that the votes of the people don't count anymore, and this has done down well with everyone, that the godfathers chose whom they want to seat and the INEC or Judiciaries can't do anything about it.
Nigeria has become a place where there is no problem before freedom of speech, but no freedom after the speech, that is where the issues lie.

Unfortunately, we found ourselves in this situation. As it is, we just have to be united towards achieving a change of power so that the youth can take over the government, but the truth is that the same sets of people you sit and discuss things with are the same sets of people who would sabotage the whole process selling out the information to their paymasters and everything would be truncated and efforts put together would be in vain. It happened in the popular end sars movement and other movements that Nigerians came out enmass to participate but how did it end. The judiciary is the worst of them all were they pay to win case, someone would just sit at their comfortzone and dictate what the judge will say and how the case and judgement would go. Its quite unfortunate where we found ourselves as a nation.

There’s a song I listened to recently by (Hypocrite) and it says;
“And what about even you voters
Wey dey act like say you only see two jokers
Recycle the same corrupt men
Later you complain you say you hate the government”
and this is so true, Nigerians know very well the true nature of most presidential candidates and yet they pay a deaf ears to their red flags and still go ahead and vote them. Few days ago while scrolling through Facebook I came across a post of a guy who was in support of Tinubu coming back to office in 2027 and his was simply because his dad was an early supporter of APC so because of that he’d also support the party no matter what and is we have others with that same sick mindset then I don’t think the country is going to progress anytime soon.

Considering the recent happenings (national economy, elections and elections related etc), let's do some analysis to identify the major sources of the problem which should help in getting solutions definitely.
The major source of our problem are simply the the electoral candidates, i.e our leader, you don't expect a positive result or a change in the country when the same set of people keeps coming to represent us
There’s a song I listened to recently by (Hypocrite) and it says;
“And what about even you voters
Wey dey act like say you only see two jokers
Recycle the same corrupt men
Later you complain you say you hate the government”

Just imagine, sincerely speaking most Nigerians have gotten used to suffering that they cannot see reality for how it is, am sure the guy that vowed to support APC no matter what has some financial gains he has benefited from the party in question, in what way or the other. It's hig time we Nigerian wake up from this slumber we are life and face reality, only then can we have a better Nigeria. Coz you can't sell you conscience all in the name of receiving benefits from a politician, and you expect that politician to perform well it is never possible.

The person I mentioned in my previous post wasn’t looking really good - from the view pictures I saw, at first I was of the impression that he must be rush and doing well for himself for him to have come out publicly to say such a thing despite the current state of the country but he was looking really unkempt and tattered.
Even those that usually gain some thing from the government during the whole electoral process they are still suffering - the little money they usually realise from the scandals tend not to be enough for them to survive the whole tenure and now that things have become even worse than usual they’ll have themselves to blame for being a part of those who disrupted the free and fair elections.

The picture you saw of the guy has told whole story, see ehn, politicians cannot pack all the money in their account and give it as bribe to the citizens, rather they do is that they will give them peanut, I mean amount of money that will on last for at tops 2days, and after that it finishes, and back to suffering. So the leader have seen our vulnerability and decided to capitalize on it, they know that people need money, that is why if they offer it on a silver platter to the citizens like this so called guy and his cohorts, they are more than grateful and excited to collect it, without even considering the long term effect of their selfish actions.

The most mind boggling part is that some even collect “a custard container filled with rice” and then go and vote rubbish into power - it’s just so sad to see that both educated and uneducated people engaging in such an absurd act, dragging for something that isn’t even worth anything in exchange of 4 years of their life or even 8 years because most of them contest for another tenure and they usually win it (after sharing rice again).

This is not our problem. If politicians give voters items and allow the voting process to be free and fair, the majority of politicians will not return to power, even if they share food and money. The reality is that votes do not count. The election process is always marred by malpractice, and politicians, particularly those in power, collaborate directly with the INEC chairman to secure electoral victory.
This is the saving grace for these self-centered politicians. People are beginning to vote based on the candidate's credibility, but unfortunately, results are being drafted even before the election day. In fact, it will come as no surprise to hear that the results of the 2027 presidential election are ready to be announced. This has been our experience as a people.

Unity is actually more like the absence of selfish interests towards oneself often not concerned about what negative effects it would have on others and most citizens actually fall in this category. Many of them believe their leaders have stolen from them so they should steal too if they get there eventually.
That's where the problem comes from because if no-one is inclined on changing things for the better then who will anchor a liberation or a change?
