Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto Adoption spreading so fast!
« on: April 13, 2025, 06:13:36 PM »
From my perspective cryptocurrency adoption in a bit slow  because  it ought to have circulated massively but the government  is the greatest  barrier to the growth  of this network. Just take for instance  the Nigerian  government  are still on an ongoing  court case with binance  in the adjustment of cryptocurrency transaction tax. This is very discouraging  for someone  who wants to join the crypto space, I hope they don't  add in an extremely  high value  all in the name of tax but to their main intention it's  to scare enthusiasts away. African governments have not been  encouraging the growth of cryptocurrency however, due to the previous  bullish  season,  crypto has created its  own awareness to the public and trust me in no time there's actually  going to be a massive turn up.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: to what extent should one learn about bitcoin
« on: April 13, 2025, 06:42:53 AM »
Learning Bitcoin before entering the investment is a necessity that must be owned by everyone. Because basically, knowledge about Bitcoin is very important, not necessarily a matter of technical matters or blockchain fundamentals as explained above. But at least there are some general knowledge that must be understood, including the risks and some things related to security.

Yeah, you're on point mate, having knowledge  about the basics  should be enough for one to start their accumulation journey, but after a while if they want to know more, then they can make their search and DYOR to learn, like u said earlier there are lot of materials that can be earlier  understood from YouTube to article. But one thing I frown at is when, someone  wishes to invest in bitcoin but has no knowledge  and then seek someone else to help him do that for him. That is bridging the decentralized part of bitcoin. Bitcoin should be you only asset that you alone have access  to, or just a few trusted persons, and aside that tge basics are not as difficult as most people  says it is, there is nothing complicated in learning how to make transactions and securing your mnemonic seed.

i believe that there are fundamentals of bitcoin that are easy to understand and fundamentals in which if you understand already you can get to investing but there are so many things to understand about bitcoin technical things and whatnot

i saw a post on the other forum about how you should just know that the market is volatile and know the good times to enter and exit and those information are enough for you to start your bitcoin journey you buy and you shut up as that one person said keep holding and do not complicate things

will you agree or do you think that an in depth understanding of the blockchain tech and market factors affect greatly how your investment will turn out to be?

Well its a good idea to study other parts of bitcoin aside, trading and securing your seed phrase but those basics are the most important to start your bitcoin investment.  You actually  don't  need to be well a tech guru to invest in bitcoin, besides bitcoin is not a complicated network to understand, so the person was actually on the right part. I don't  see any reason why someone would find it difficult  to understand how bitcoin operates when there are lots of resources out there that is easily explanatory. If anyone has interest  in investing in bitcoin, they can actually  get into the market anytime  they wish to buy using the DCA strategy both in bear or bullish seasons, the goal is to accumulate for a long term.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Wattin dey dup for our local board?
« on: April 12, 2025, 12:23:37 AM »
Omor as I enter forum I just observe say our local board dey very inactive, though we dey try but e for nice if we make good name just like the way e dey for the other side. Normally I dey see sharp men dem for here, people like, igebotz,Agbe.... These are my boss men dem, and una dey try e no easy but if we fit make the local board lively small e for make sense.

The board dey active sha in my own way of seeing it because we no go fit just dey active as we dey for the other forum for here. Most of the people wey follow for the other forum no dey active here and the ones wey come register for here no too dey show for local board that much, maybe due to them not having an understanding of the forum better as it should be. Or not it at all but because they are not actively in signature campaigns to encourage them to engage more. At least post still dey come here once in a while unlike other local boards wey them no even dey active at all to make a room for proper discussion of their people there.

Yeah you talk well, I dey see am sef like that, we no go fit dey like the other forum but if at all we still dey try for this side to keep the board  active, una wey dey package am, una do well. If our board  fit active that na another plus to us and this forum, so that the traffic  go increase  an that go prompt more opportunities  for other people too to find out about the forum, come join us share knowledge  and resources.  The signature  campaign sef follow  for wattin make the board dey like this, though for the other side seff, no be every body dey active for the local board  na just few persons,

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Hold vs trading what is better?
« on: April 11, 2025, 02:48:01 PM »
During the bullrun season, I'm very sure people will prepare for selling all their coins. If we buy coins for holding, it should be during the bearish season. But sometimes people are waiting for the higher prices to sell their coins. Now, it seems people almost see the higher prices for Bitcoin and altcoins. If it meets the target, people must trade their coins. Well, it is true that it is the time for trading strategy now, it is not the time for holding.

That's the basic logic of every holder that invest in coins, but during the bear market and sell during the bull run but they get over joy by the return and hold the coin beyond their expectations. It's good though but the problem with market is that you never even know where and when it will end and for this reason, many people don't get the opportunity to sell.

It's very easy to buy a coin and hold but the hard part of it is the holding and selling at appropriate time. As for me, if my profit is significant enough for me, I will take what I get and try some coins later in the next bear market.

This is why  investing in a long term project is a good idea, if you make your analysis to invest on a long term project, you should have a set goal, to take your profits  though after realizing  that profit you can still decide to sell some of your accumulation  while you keep the rest for the next circle, but when you're on a short term project which is like to pump and dump at any given instance the best you can do is not to be greedy, take a little profit and move one, because  there are other project that can give you the same return or even better. So for every shitcoin you invest in, you should not be greedy. Though I don't advise anyone  to invest in shitprojects, but you which to, then you should invest with what you can afford to lose, you should invest with the knowledge  of gamble that anything could happen, so you don't put in too much hopes on the project.

It seems to get more profits in crypto now, you have to get in early. I’ve been seeing a lot users saying they gained a lot of profits by being early investors in recently listed projects. They said they would buy early on to have a better chance to get in before the price pumps, when Binance lists the projects. I even saw a post earlier stating he made 3000% returns using this strategy.

Buying crypto early to profit from the market is not a new update, it has been right from the day bitcoin was created. The early bird who hold on to very large amount of that crypto coin are the most profitable persons in the market aside some whale who might buy along the way after having a clear sight that the project will do well in the future. Though not every project that was bought early has the potentials to do well, there are thousands of crypto out there which majority of them are scam  project, which were created for the purpose of rug and pull. Even reputable personalities do this without  any criminal charges, so it's  actually  legal. However before buying any project its essential you make your own research  other than relying  on someone else's analysis  and knowledge, the person might be wrong, because  as humans differs do are our thinking faculty.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What to expect from BTC
« on: April 10, 2025, 11:29:49 PM »
With BTC current movement, I don't no what to expect at the point cause the pump and dump is becoming unbearable, It could start like something good making LH and HH like a good trend then a single tweet from Trump would Change everything, What's the crypto market turning into, at this point trump tweet has more volatility than NFP and FOMC which is something new to me, news days are no longer volatile I haven't trade BTC in 2 months not and it's new to me,

What are your thoughts on BTC? Do you think we would ever get close to the previous ATH, or would we go lower?

If you're in for a long term trade then the current  market situation  shouldn't  be a problem. The price of bitcoin has never been stable it fluctuate due to the volatility, which is also the reason for the pumps. However  we are currently  in a bear season, so this is the normal price movement  inr seasons like this, we can't  expect a bull run a bearish season, after the bear season is gone then the bulls will take over, but for now the market is operating on its normal condition, you should see this as major opportunity to buy more coins rather than complaining of the market price value. One of the biggest flex in crypto is buying at a cheap price and hold while the market conver your stake to a higher amount.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: bear run, what to expect?
« on: April 10, 2025, 06:53:21 AM »
i am sure that many people have recently found their way towards bitcoin and crypto last year and are only now experiencing the bull run

so the upcoming bear run is their first and i see newbies grow restless and anxious when the mention of bear run comes up but for those who have experienced the many cycles of bitcoin, we know that there is no need to panic or worry we can still make use of the market even when it’s down

first you can purchase more bitcoin and hold but bear run doesn’t mean it’s always gonna be down so if you could take advantage of the volatility you still can get profit we can also use this time to find projects that could be beneficial for when the bull run comes

what else should newbies expect comes the bear run?

The bearish seasons are just temporary seasons on the market, if you look at the market from a higher time frame that is, zooming out from the Genesis block, the price of bitcoin movement had always been on a bullish trend though there are some temporary price reversals but they always end up amounting to nothing, that is why irrespective of the price, we advise to keep buying. Because if you're in for a long term investment, bearish seasons shouldn't be a problem, you just need to learn how to control your emotions so you don't make hasty decisions like selling your coins because the price diped a little bit, but should be seeing the dip asa an opportunity to accumulate more because bitcoin is cheaper at that period.

what factors influence the value of bitcoin?

What factors influence the price of bitcoin?

what factors influence the supply of bitcoin?

What factors influence the demand of bitcoin?

Op the question 1 and two mean thesame thing the value of bitcoin is also the price of bitcoin we see today, if bitcoin increases  its price to $200k we'll say the value of bitcoin has increases so they are literally saying thesame thing however the price of bitcoin is determined by several factors like the supply and demand, crypto news, most importantly the strength of buyers and seller in the market. However the supply of bitcoin in the market is fixed, Satoshi programmed bitcoin such that there would exit only 21 million bitcoin total in circulation, so if this 21 million bitcoin gets mined there would be no more bitcoin to mine, and that also help made bitcoin scarce thereby increasing its worth as the demand increases.  Most people consider bitcoin as digital gold because of its limited supply even as demand increases.

The crypto new is all about favoritism, any news that favour's crypto will eventually lead to a bullish movement while any news against crypto will lead to a bearish movement, just like the few manipulations we saw on the market when Trump discussed about the bitcoin reserve.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: How to guess Bitcoin price to win?
« on: April 08, 2025, 11:47:04 PM »
I first joined the guessing event from Mixero (Bitcoin mixer platform). I joined it because the rewards were quite large, with the first guess being $300, the second guess being $100 and the third being $100.

https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=327852.msg1724841#msg1724841
See the winners above, the winners are listed there:

1st winner: $300.00 = KryptoBull

2nd winner: $100.00 = dwyane36

3rd winner: $100.00 = hanadawa

To be honest, I just randomly guessed predictions 1 and 2 so I didn't win. Is this a pure Lucky factor?
Do these three members have the knowledge to guess the Bitcoin price to win? If so, how?

Well as you know, the price of bitcoin and the crypto market is heavily manipulated so you don't expect someone to rely on making predictions of chart readings  alone, it's also the crowned effect of luck. Though making chrat analysis could help you see the directions to which the market is taking and help make your prediction in line with the actual value of the coin price, but like I said earlier luck steps in to make the prediction seem accurate because there are also other persons who did same thing but luck sweeped them off, leaving them with no profit irrespective of the chart analysis they made. From a logical sense they could be the right persons to benefit had it been the price of the market respected some few patterns but that's is where manipulation steps in.

There is a popular saying that says, "If you live by the rules, You die by the rules". A friend of mine once told me this after we successfully sneaked passed a lengthy queue of customers waiting to gain access into the bank. We went late, but we were the first to leave. That's how life is and that's how life has always been.

The government don't care much about you. If they banned Bitcoin, then it is because they fear that so those that matters (the youth in most cases), might crawl their way out of poverty and financial freedom. When these youths chooses to invest in Bitcoin, who will then store their money in banks.

Even if it's banned, as long as you don't end up being caught, then you are still a free man. Don't tell me that cokes are legal in every country, or don't we have people that takes them anymore?(I believe you know the coke I'm referring to). You just have to sometimes make certain decisions that oversees higher decisions. It's for your own good.

Indeed the government  care less about their citizens because  I see no reason why they should target bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies when they are aware that the youth are actually using this platform to make money and pay their bill. It's as though they are deliberately doing this to tighten the chances of the youth getting an investment  medium. Though I understand that selling the country's  currency to purchase another currency i bulk can lead to inflation irrespective of the effect but I also believe that if the governments had played their parts well, there wouldn't  be a problem with that small change in the country's economy.
