I just think we all spend too much time on this kind of stuff, or give these shills too many warnings, instead of resolving it quickly and decisively. I know that the forum rules are currently like this, so we will have to be consistent if we want any success in this matter.
Tbf moderating users generally misbehaving is very much determined and influenced by the GM team rather than anything else, specifically Freemind, Jokers and myself. These days admin practices more of a "hands off" approach - as opposed to guiding this as he did previously - because in fairness the three of us have a lot more experience moderating the forum than him (in the same way admin has infinite more experience administrating the forum than the three of us). There's nothing specifically in the rules that determines any of this, there are simply a set mod guidelines. However these guidelines and only guidelines, they are not a rule of law, and only written by myself based on what had become
defacto processes.
Fundamentally there are different strategies that the three of us use, from the number of warnings before being moderated/banned from posting, or otherwise the membership groups used to do this. So while it might seem inconsistent, this is how its supposed to work. Having a diversity of strategies and severities of punishments with the balance being somewhere in the middle, as opposed to some hard-coded way to deal with users generally. Granted there was a time when admin wanted us to deal with situations specifically based on what he believed was the best course of action, but it's been a longtime since we ignored that and moved on with what's actually best for forum along with use of our time

For example I'd say freemind is the softer of the three of us
(as you'd expect from a President, because there is a higher level of responsibility to the community etc, and others were no different, myself included), while Jokers is more iron fist approach, which I've also drifted further towards myself in recent years. So in summary, these "inconsistencies" are somewhat intention. This is so that the forum is moderated organically driven by those involved in doing so, rather than by some sort of line that we all have to tow, or specific individual (admin/president/judge) that determines how things "should" be done, regardless of our own individual opinions and beliefs in what works best.
dragononcrypto, looks like Misbehaving group works for premoderation not everywhere on the forum?
Indeed, I've suspected this for a while and asked admin about it but he's not entirely sure either. I don't even see the unapproved posts (only the airdrops section for some strange reason), I had admin remove it from my account when pres as was always seeing all the 3 strikes at the time which was becoming a headache, and it never returned after that lol.
Anyway, i can use
test account to do some tests, so maybe worth creating a topic in mod section or PM me to check these things, ie given a bunch of sections to test out. I do otherwise see mods approve posts from misbehaving in the logs from time to time, but it's not often, and usually for the right reasons (ie, the posts isn't shilling).
