It is not always good to prove the truth by sending KYC, that is, your identification data in many cases to scammers. Here you need to approach this issue from the point of view of who and for what purpose we send KYC. Sending in fake id for kyc,,, main reasons of that most of the bounties projects Hunters are normally students and most of the students have no national government issues documents / id card. They download from Google and submit kyc form.

if I send the KYC fake I usually prefer to seek services or editor experienced to qualify for verification of KYC I used to use it for the bounty and platform exchange less famous because when using personal data very dangerous to make the data KYC being misused for the benefit of crime, money laundering, and fraud.

I know some groups or companies who sell ID data for cheating KYC. A few years back, when blockchain.com airdrop XLM tokens, a lot of people got fortunes from faking KYC. I don't think it's easy to prevent faking KYC (as well as scams). But talking about KYC, I don't think it's a good thing. I hate revealing my identity. When you give your identity to a third party, no one can make sure your identity won't be sold or used for shady purpose.

As much as possible I don't like to do KYC procedure due to rampant scammers in crypto space. To make it clear I don't like to submit fake ID or real one, I rather choose safety first than money. I valued my simple and humble identity because this is just what I've got.

This is the result of having a KYC on a project. They can sell our information in the dark market which violates our data privacy. I will not support a project having a kyc. That is why I prefer dex than centralized exchange

Selling fake ID & documents been there since the age of the beginning of the internet & the KYC procedures.
Most KYC procedures are now done through AI through third party KYC companies., So yeah, fake IDs & documents can pass them like a charm.
Peple where buying  / selling fake ID, social number, address verification for paypal since ages. It is what it is man.

This is true , many users used fake document inorder to generate a good amount of money through airdops .
This is good if there is short video clip in which user show his documents , only then we can control this scam .

Honestly speaking, I'd tried to pass kyc process back then but unfortunately the project became dead. Unfortunate experience in kyc.

However, somehow it would be good to edit your personal information for security reason as long as you doubted the project potential to success. Actually, nonsense to do kyc if the project in a little while just end in failure.
