It's all about knowing when to get in and when to get out (Smart way of trading) If you earned your token through bounty/airdrop/contest, you also need to know when to hodl and when to sell. as you said, knowing when to sell and buy is the best way to make a profit, I am personally not a HODLer but I think being a HODLer is great for those who don't have the time and day trading skills.
