What are your thoughts on Chelsea this season? Do we think they have a reasonable chance of finishing in the top 4?
It's hard to judge them after only 3 games, but I think the lack of consistency will make it hard for them to succeed. So far they have one lost game to Man City, one impressive away win over Wolves (6-2) and a home draw against Crystal Palace, which was a bit disappointing, considering how dominating Chelsea was and how many good scoring chances they were able to create.
I still think that replacing Pochettino with Maresca was a risky and unnecessary move. Maresca only ever managed 2 clubs before and his managerial career started only in 2021. But maybe I'm wrong and maybe new, inexperienced managers are more hungry and willing to put in extra work for the club. I guess the time will tell.

Inconsistent performance in last three premier league matches I doubt Chelsea can reach the top fourth standings or UEFA Champion League spot in this season. Not difference yet Chelsea performance under Pochettino or Enzo Maresca because difficult to defend their consistent performance after bigger score winning against Wolves but easily being draw by Crystal Palace.

I agree with you that Pocchetino should have been being given a second chance to see how the club performance would be like. He was a coach that took his time to understand the players and was working with that in order to improve the team performance which we saw the progress towards the end of the season. Maybe during when Chelsea was not performing well last season was when the management went for Maresca.

Have waiting one week later for premier league comeback because the international break have one match left for national teams playing on World Cup qualifier and UEFA Nation League match.

Chelsea is too hasty in making decisions, they want something instant to achieve success, and in football there is no instant way because they have to go through a process to be able to achieve success so that the achievements they achieve are not said to be luck.

Pochettino had all the plate and meat together with knife on his hands and couldn't cook well disdh for Chelsea and I'm happy to see him get sack. My thoughts are the same as yours if, at the very end of the season, Maresca fails to take Chelsea to the top positions of the PL table after all the signings of new players have been made. No excuses will be given by Maresca if that happens because he started coaching Chelsea at the start of the season, with new players set in, in the squad of Chelsea.
