Almost everyone's prediction is for Manchester City to win their home match against Tottenham. They can't afford to lose it, like having another match loss again after having four straight loss matches(2 PL matches, 1 Champions League match, and EFL). I trust Pep Guardiola to come up with a better strategy so that Manchester City's aim of lifting the Premier League title over again this season won't be cut off short as they target to meet up with Liverpool who is topping them with 5 points gap in the Premier League table

Not sure yet Manchester City will return back to the top or winning performance for upcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur after four consecutives loss all competition. Due international break and most of Manchester City players get national team calling Pep Guardiola seems need huge rotation when facing Spurs.
Dilemma for Pep how easily got four consecutives loss all competition and must secure three points when facing Tottenham Hotspur after 5 points remaining from Liverpool keep comfortable lead the top position awhile. I think if win against Tottenham Hotspur have confidence for Manchester City player to face Liverpool upcoming two weeks later.

On paper, Manchester City is the favorite team in this match, especially with Tottenham's poor performance in the Premier League.

Manchester City will dominate the entire match and later win the match by a goal, no matter how defensive Tottenham will choose to play. So in the match against Tottenham, it looks like we will see Man City improve a little and it could still overwhelm Tottenham. And somehow, I believe Man City will still manage to get full points in the match against Tottenham. Because Pep usually doesn't let problems drag on for too long.

Pep Guardiola in his interview said that he will return to make Man City as expected. and moreover, Pep's contract at Man City has been confirmed to have been renewed and extended for the next year, and an extension option until 2027. From the recent reports, arsenal has had so many injury boost ahead of this weekend game, which i believe is a plus to their path. Defeating forest might not be that easy.

And for the city vs spurs game. That's probably the best game for this match week. If we are to judge/rate city by their last four games, then we might want to give the win to spurs, but as it stands, maybe city might just be winning this, or probably, they both settle for a draw.

And the last game to watch out for is bournemouth vs brighton. These two underdogs defeated Manchester city, which makes this fixture an exciting game to watch out for. Though, the odd difference isn't that massive, so i might want to bet a draw.

In the last meeting, Man City lost to Tottenham in the EFL. But I'm sure Pep will not allow the team he trains to experience defeat by the same team in two consecutive meetings. That's good point. Everyone understands that sacking Ten Hag was necessary, but Ruud did a surprisingly good job in his few matches and if Amorim fails to deliver equally good results, he would be off to a harsh start.

In Sunday's game against Ipswich each United's player will be extra motivated to present themselves from the best side to the new manager, but there's always a risk of something not clicking right when new manager leads the team for the first time, e.g. when doesn't yet know the players or tries to implement a new formation.

I just want to see how Amorin's tactics with Manchester United even though in his first match there hasn't been any change, it's still reasonable because it takes adaptation.

I will not expect so much from him in the first game, because he does not have the same set of players that he had in sporting in Manchester United. I believe it will still take some time for him to get his strategy into the head of the Manchester players, so, for the very first games he would be coach, his strategy will be to continue with whatever Manchester United player are very familiar with and then make the changes easily as he progresses with the team. Ruud has set the standard high of what Amorim should deliver for United.

Maybe some players are also not able to adapt to the new coach so Amorin's tactics will not be too good then this is very natural if we see.

At least we know Amorin already has a good philosophy when with Sporting CP and that will come new colors with his new club now, some players may be happy now led by a new coach.

I think since Amorim first match is against Ipswich, it should be an easy match for Amorim even though he hasn't spent time with the players. My reaaon is because they have played 4 games with Van Nistelrooy, draw only one and won three. Meaning that they still have that winning spirit in them and that of Van Nistelrooy to motivate them on winning Ipswich on Sunday.

Those will all be tough games for Manchester United's new coach. The weakest team they will be playing to me among these runs of fixtures is not Ipswich but Everton, who have been very inconsistent this season. For Ipswich, one thing is for sure, and that is them making sure that if they have a chance, they take it. Bournemouth will be another tough nut for Manchester United too because they have been a problem to the big teams this season, Arsenal and Manchester City, and can still be a problem to them.

How is your favorite team looking like after their players' international games? I think it was too early for the Premier and other domestic leagues to resume in the weekend. At the middle of next week would probably be more ideal but I guess the sponsors prefer more viewership from gate sales.
