We're at the half-time of the Manchester Derby and the City lead 1-0 after Gvardiol's header.
I wonder what Guardiola's tactic will be after the break. Will he set his team defensively, hoping to drive the lead till the final whistle and maybe score some more from counter-attacks, or will they be playing aggressively just to make a statement.
Whatever happens, I hope we don't end up with a 1-1 draw. I'd rather have either of them to win than to split points.

What a remarkable day for Manchester United, as they were able to come back in the second half and won the match within two minutes. Ahmad gave United a penalty that led to their equalizer, and a minute later, Ahmad was able to render Ederson and two defenders useless scoring the winning goal all aline. The match ended 2-1.

Full-time result:
Man City 1 - 2 Man United

The game highlights, for those who haven't seen it:

What an absolutely disastrous last minutes for Pep Guardiola. Horrible mistakes in defense shifted the win to their arch-rivals. The worst possible outcome.

I wonder how much time will the club owners give him to fix performance problems before losing patience. Given the phenomenal work he has done with the club in recent years, he probably still has a lot of credit and trust from owners and fans, but he will have to take some actions in the January transfer window, to let some fresh blood in to turn things around.

It is surprising that 2 minutes = 2 goals if an incident like this means there is a sign of weakness in Manchester City's defense.

City in every match get problems where they lose at home this is very embarrassing in addition at the beginning of this season is quite dominant and now even caught in the ugliness of their own game.

Halaand is no longer productive, I don't see him scoring many goals anymore.

After a long time, I enjoyed the taste of United's victory. I see a change in the style of play, confidence in players, and distinct identity for the game. What a game...
And thank you Atalanta for selling Amad Diallo to the United. :)

It was another shocking defensive performance. The only team they can beat at the minute is themselves from so many unforced errors.
Most of the City's players are weak and overaged. Kindly let them go and rebuild. This era has come to an end.

First was the come from behind in the Europa League and then another one but in the Premier League. This is the stuff we like to see ;D It reminds me of the old days or the SAF era Man United when we never really know if they are beaten until the final whistle is blown.

It was way beyond imagination that Manchester United later took away the 3 points from Manchester City after their 1-0 lead before their late goal penalty equalizer, and later win of 1-2. It was really unexpected that the host team "Manchester City'' would lose to Manchester United who haven't found their feet strong with the old players they have, who the management of Manchester United is planning to sell off, mostly all of them by the January transfer window.

Currently everything seems to be going in a very good direction for man united. But the opposite is true for Man City, where they appear to be currently in a fairly serious decline. Losing in the UCL then losing in the premier league. man united will have a good place in the Europa League. Meanwhile, in the Premier League, there is no doubt that Man United will also improve their standings this season.

Man City's defeat was unexpected but yes, it was good for MU fans.

I would agree with you that Manchester City is currently experiencing a fairly decline as there seems to be uncertainty in the Manchester City team because looking at the team things are getting worst as their losing streak continues both in Europe and in England, With what I can see there seems to be a disconnect between the coach and the players because I don't really see what is wrong with the team there seems to be a unseen battle going on in city and it will not be long before it will come to the public if not I don't really see the reason why one of the best team in the world is suddenly turning into a nightmare by losing straight. I really pity pep at this moment because he is doing his best to buy result is not going his way

It was a big relief for Amorim and Manchester united yesterday because Amorim is the only coach that has win City in Etihad on a Derby since Sir, Alex Ferguson left the club. This is hope and a promising result that shows United will find light at the end of the tunnel with Amorim as their new coach.

From their current position? Yeah I guess they will end up higher in the table. I am just not so sure if you can call making it to the top 7 as improvement for a club as huge as Man United. It doesn't sound right as that makes them like a mid-table team.

As far as I know, there is no internal or dressing room issue; the squad's poor performance is due to a reliance on particular players, and when these guys are out injured, the entire team suffers. Rodri is their most important player, and the team has not lost a game in which he has appeared since last season; nonetheless, the team is suffering as a result of his absence due to a long-term injury.

It's now up to Pep to devise backup strategies to keep the squad playing and winning without Rodri; if he can't, he might as well give the slot to someone who can.

Yep. Ruben Amorim has been working around the clock to see how he can improve Manchester United's form.
I watched the game but was surprised by the stats at the end of the game, not realizing that United had so many shots, etc. Amorim completely shut City out in open play, had more of the ball in the final third, and created big chances. The start of something genuine.

And on the other hand, Arsenal was the most disappointing. They dominated the game, they were superior in everything, but they failed to win at all. and there were no goals at all. it's really outrageous.
Yeah, no excuse for them not to win that game by at least one goal. They have everything except the most important thing - a goal. Anyway, it is what it is. Every team is expected to drop points in a busy December schedule, it's only a matter of which team drops less. Now, this is Man City's chance to close the gap. Pep's job will get more difficult if they can't get 3 points against MU.
I thought Arsenal was very sad because they failed to win against Everton, only managed to draw in the match and wasted so many opportunities. but it turns out that Man City is now worse. Yes, Man City failed to win against Man United, instead they lost 1-2 to Man United, now Man City is thrown to 5th position.

While other results are also the same, Liverpool also only drew against Fulham, but they were quite unlucky because they got a red card from the first match. Still very lucky thanks to their persistence the result was a draw.

And now, the ranking in the EPL is getting more interesting, Chelsea is the most consistent, This is really interesting and satisfied with Chelsea's progress and development this season.

Re: [Football] English Premier League Betting & Discussion Thread

Chelsea Mykhailo Mudryk was confirmed positive after doping test, which led to him being banned until proper investigation is done, to know what could led to that. I think all Chelsea football players should be tested of this too. Because what's the people into. The current form, sound players on the pitch and the winning spirit involved in their games. Chelsea just need the points,  and could lift the EPL. I therefore recommend Chelsea for anybody to bet it to win the Premier League this season.
