I've never used them. In fact, I always tape over my laptop camera to avoid any privacy-related threats. I won't grant camera access to any app on my laptop, especially those related to finance.

Do you use something like duck tape or an actual camera blocker?

Because I'm not sure if you are aware, but you can still theoretically record the microphone even with the camera blocked. There's no obvious way to block that physically, and it could be a massive security threat if someone actually manages to enable that remotely then that could be more compromising than video.

I also do the same thing with my old laptop in the past. Granted I don't go as far as removing the recording hardware etc since I still need them when I work on something. But yeah, QR-code scan is definitely not the best option for privacy and security, especially when you're working on mixing your Bitcoin transactions.

Seems likely that is the case based on the dates of the update. The could be keeping tabs of all the latest news about crypto mixers and tumblers and then put it up on the website for everyone to read.
That's cool, although I don't think it will help SEO that much if the goal is to increase visibility on search engine's first page. Still a good resource to learn something though, which is probably what the targeted audience wants. CMIIW.

You can disable microphone manually and some laptops (Thinkpad for example) have integrated camera switches to open and close it when you need.
Another 100% safe way is to disable internet connection when you are not using your laptop, again some Thinkpad laptops have physical switches to turn modem on and off.

I used a piece of dark tape and paper to cover the camera on my laptop, that's all I could do. Additionally, I've blocked all camera and microphone permissions on my laptop to avoid unnecessary risks. That's all I can do, I'm not a tech expert so I don't know how to handle other risks.

This might just be a psychological effect to make me feel more confident using my laptop for storing and moving crypto, especially BTC, even though I don't have a lot of BTC. I often have to sell crypto from my freelance work to support my family, so I'm always afraid of issues related to hackers. I remain cautious even when using Coinomize to mix BTC and sell through P2P.

I also have a lenovo model laptop, the LOQ and it has a switch to its camera on the right side but it won't be noticed until you close it because the lens don't have cover. On my other laptops, I have put some camera cover which costs penny and it is a tiny circle enclosure designated for that purpose. Also a good idea is not to connect automatically to any connection.

If I've had enough time to use my laptop, I'd choose to use bookmarks to access Mixer links and use dedicated programs to recheck wallet addresses multiple times before sending my BTC. Some users might prefer using QR codes for Mixing, similar to daily payment habits, but I'm not one of them. BTC is a financial product for investment, not a payment that can be recovered through lawsuits and bank support.
I agree to the idea about bookmarking coinomize.biz or the onion link of it for the regular users so that they don't have to search for it manually.

ThinkPad doesn't have any issues, but many other Lenovo models are accused of having pre-installed Lenovo Spyware. I'm worried that this could also threaten the security of our private keys and crypto assets. I use an HP Laptop and Ubuntu OS whenever I interact with my crypto account, that's what I can do to avoid being attacked. Being cautious of public Wi-Fi is also necessary!

I have a habit of bookmarking important websites, including Coinomize.biz. I don't want to send BTC to hackers behind other fake addresses, especially when I need to quickly mix my BTC.

That's a great habit. It's a bad idea to remember onion link IMO since it may change, plus they are usually hard to remember due to the number of symbols/numbers etc. Maybe it can work with clearnet address, but double checking everything especially because we have an official thread on this forum is better. CMIIW.

I also have a habit of making notes for important web address on KeePass. Probably not the most practical but it's just a click or two away so it's not a huge problem for me.

I've had a lot of experience with fake sites after suffering significant losses related to websites during the ICO wave in 2017 & 2018. Hackers can create countless fake sites related to crypto wallet applications or promising projects by changing the .io, .com, .net extensions. Familiar interfaces can be misused to deceive users and trick them into handing over their logins, passwords, and private keys. This has become a real problem that cannot be easily solved, and hackers are even willing to pay for advertising to ensure fake sites appear at the top of Google Search results.

Users of mixers such Coinomize.biz are attractive targets for hackers because we actually have BTC, and we need to send our BTC to get it mixed. Coinomize.biz offers a great service but cannot protect us when we use fake sites, so we must protect ourselves using simple methods like bookmarking the Coinomize.biz site and double-checking the address before sending BTC.

It would be great if you could avoid using Windows for any crypto stuff entirely!

A few days ago some security researcher found a serious security vulnerability (well, all vulnerabilities are serious, but this one affected ALL versions of windows), and now everyone has to patch their systems just so that people cannot install RATs on their computers that steal crypto.

Ubuntu OS is a good system, but it is the #1 choice for beginners and it may not be completely safe if you use it carelessly.
Creating an airgapped wallet is easier. Using tails and an old computer, you will be safe from most vulnerabilities and using your phone to track your balance.
Being secure in terms of privacy is a more difficult choice, and mixers are one of the ways that help you enhance your privacy.
Pass the connection through Tor and send your coins through Coinomize or any mixer and it will be very difficult to track you.

Let me give you an example:

Let's saying you are going somewhere, maybe through customs or something, and your electronics are seized includinh your hard-drive.

Now it just so happens that you used Ubuntu and have done some mixes on that computer and it has your wallet inside.

In such a case, if those coins you put in the mixer have a questionable origin, you are toast.

That's not going to happen however if you use Tails OS or Whonix. Because the wallet and the mixing session will be stored in-memory which will be wiped out on shutdown.

That is only possible with wind0ws OS and that operating system is spyware itself, especially newer versions that makes it extremely hard to turn of all spying and telemetric tracking.
I would install LinuxOS like Fedora or Debian instead of Ubuntu on any laptop for anything that is connected with bitcoin.
There are better options if you want to be extra careful, but I wouldn't go extreme way for most users.

This is just my opinion and solution based on what I know. I don't recommend Lenovo laptop users to replace their laptops. They can still continue using their laptops if they want, after all, everyone needs to be responsible for their own property. At the same time, we haven't recorded any cases of data theft related to Lenovo Spyware, this is just a risk I want to avoid.

Ubuntu OS also is friendly for Windows OS users and is quite popular in the Linux world, so I believe everyone can access Ubuntu very easily. Another simple way is to use iOS because iOS is better and saver than Android. I'm also using my old iPhone to manage my crypto wallets, but when using Coinomize.biz, I still prefer using a laptop over a smartphone.

I'm also using my old iPhone to manage my crypto wallets, but when using Coinomize.biz, I still prefer using a laptop over a smartphone.
I still can't get over the fact that many people only use cell phones for all operations rather than traditional computers/laptops, especially related to crypto wallets and transactions. From security to usability, there is not a single advantage, except for easier portability.

iOS is still much safer than other OS, and I believe managing crypto on mobile apps is also quite convenient and enjoyable. Personally, I feel more secure storing information related to CEX accounts and personal wallets on an offline smartphone than accessing everything through a laptop browser.

Unlike Mixer, I've become accustomed to using crypto wallets and CEXs on my smartphone because their devs have chosen the most basic features for users, and I like that simplicity. Everything is just related to buying and selling crypto, not about sending BTC to multiple addresses and getting Letter of Guarantee like when using Mixer.
