There might still be hope for Chris Paul to win a ring before he finally quits the NBA or retire officially, If Al Horford could have just won his first ring just a few weeks ago despite playing in more NBA finals than any other NBA player without a ring. Realistically CP3 chances winning a ring with San Antonio Spurs is very highly slim, that's even if they're are to make it to the post season. His best shot was with the red hot Phoenix Suns back then, and had it not been for the Giannis led Bucks, CP3 sure would have had a ring to his NBA record right now.
Al Horford is the best example of this one. He's been into the NBA Finals more than any other player and yet, he just won his first title a few weeks ago. That's what I'm also thinking about CP3. Him being on a team that's considered a championship contender team increases his chance of winning that title. Obviously, he will not get in San Antonio this season. I don't know the reason, but maybe he wants to develop Wemby even more and he believes that he will be a big help in his development hence, he signed with the team.
Just this morning PH time, i watched the highlights of the US vs Serbia friendly match where US blew out the Serbian by 26 big points. I do agree that the other teams would only be fighting for the silver and bronze medal as the gold belongs to the US. They are so focused now that they don't want to slipped away from them.
It should be noted that Curry had an impressive performance in this game. During his 21 minutes on the court, he scored 24 points, 18 of them in the first half. Even though Sebria has Jokic, he obviously can't do anything against the USA team alone. Let's not talk about other teams that don't have a single NBA star on their roster.
Like I said a days ago, basketball is a 5v5 game and not a 1v1.
Even if you have one of the MVP on the NBA if you're up against 5 all-star players then it's completely useless. That's why many already did their predictions that the US team will win on this upcoming Olympics yet again. Their roster consists of all-star players (excluding White I guess), and no other team in the country has better talent than what the US has.
