A Gambling addicted friend of mine borrowed $80 from Point of Sale (POS) girl and used it to gamble thinking that he would win and pay back the money with interest but ironically the money lost for the gambling and when it is time to pay back the money, there was no money to pay back again and he ran to me to give him loan and he game me his mobile phone ( Tecno Spark 10) as collateral, and took the phone and gave the money. As you said those steps are good to eradicate gambling addiction but how many gamblers have been finally stopped it by those steps. One of the dumb things to do is to borrow to gamble. With your funds you couldn't win is it when you borrow that you will win? A gambler shouldn't see how juicy and tempting a game appears and then resort to borrowing. Maybe the reason why some other people have this kind of idea where they think that gambling is like an investment is because they think that investment is the same as gambling.

It's more like they also try investment and think that if they are lucky, they get the profit just like in gambling. They don't bother doing any other research when they invest, and they happen to put their money hoping to at least make a profit.

You both are right on this.Even the person who is giving out solutions to problems on gambling still comes back to gamble.And there is one thing I've discovered about gambling,that as long as you have placed your money on gambling before,and you  lose it,,your mind will always be running back to it,stating the need you have currently,that it may  be a solution to the pressure  you have which is so pressing.That is why most people find it so difficult to stop nomatter how they try.

I saw the statement that gambling as an investment place made me laugh. As you have explained, no gambling place provides a guarantee of always making a profit and many gambling places actually provide very small winning percentage scripts even though they have given several bonuses to their loyal users. I think of gambling more as a place to have fun, so that when I enter a gambling place I already understand the risks that can occur at any time with the capital I use in the gambling place.
