But then, the question now is how do you know that the person will use the loan for gambling? This question is important because when a friend comes for a loan, even if he is a gambler, he will always justify the importance of the loan and also note that the loan is for a good course. So, it becomes difficult to deny such a friend loan.
If a friend of yours is involved in gambling activities and you are aware of it, that should serve as a warning for you not to lend them money. This fact alone should be sufficient reason for you to decline their request, without having to consider how they will use the borrowed money or whether they will be able to repay you. Given that they have a history of gambling, it is likely that the borrowed money will be used for the same purpose, hence it's best to avoid such a situation altogether.

I don’t subscribe to your opinion. I think the best thing to do is to use your hand in solving the problem. For instance, if your friend is borrowing money from you to pay a bill, you just have to do a background check if he is sincere and if it is true, I advise you to use your hand in paying the bills instead of declining vehemently because that little favour matters and might even be a lifesaver. A friend in need is a friend indeed and so there should be no justification for not helping a friend when you can.

Surely it should be that when a friend is in trouble, another friend will come forward. But when we see that borrowed money is used for gambling by lying or borrowing from a friend then it is not normal anymore. If the gambler is an addict then I can assert that it will be difficult for him to pay back the money borrowed from his friend. There the faith of one person to another will be lost. So I think in terms of lending money if possible you should give money after knowing about the friend. Moreover, if a friend wants to borrow money for the first time, it is definitely difficult to ignore.

Sometimes we give a lot of importance when a player asks for money to lend, why do I say it like that? Honestly, we are all responsible for our actions, if a person borrows money, if it is for a casino and to play, well that is already the responsibility of that person, you will see that with money, what they have to do is see if the person who If you lend the money you have the ability to pay, that is what matters to the lender, I don't see any other way of looking at things.

Yes, it is recommended to do whatever it takes to avoid playing in a casino, because at least I have a very different culture from this, to ask for a loan is because I really need the money for something like a medical emergency or something like that, and if I decide to lend money, I am totally worried because all my energy is Focused on paying that money and quickly, but of course, it is my way of being, my way of seeing things.

Are you out of your mind? Paying their bills or giving them money is not a real help. This shows that you just spoon-feeding them and don't give encouragement to try earning by themselves. Much better if you help them try to find a stable source of income to support their needs. If you want to help a friend, you must look for some other ways to support them, and not get involved in paying their bills. It's better to not make them feel that you are always on their back to cover their expenses.

You sounded so disrespectful but its okay. So, are you saying that we should see a friend in need and then ignore him because he is a gambler? Do you think that is ideal? Remember a friend in need is a friend indeed. Besides, the fact that a friend demanded for a loan from you doesn`t mean that they do not have a source of income. I don`t see anything wrong with a friend borrowing money. Our concern here is that the money shouldn`t be used for gambling if he is a gambler.

A Gambling addicted friend of mine borrowed $80 from Point of Sale (POS) girl and used it to gamble thinking that he would win and pay back the money with interest but ironically the money lost for the gambling and when it is time to pay back the money, there was no money to pay back again and he ran to me to give him loan and he game me his mobile phone ( Tecno Spark 10) as collateral, and took the phone and gave the money. And early in the morning, the following day, he come again that he wants to sell his solar system so he can used the money to settle some debt. And I bought it from him as a cheaper price. And I was not comfortable with it so I called him to come in the evening and asked why he sold the solar and he told me that he sold it to pay some gambling debt. And I gave him some advice. And we depart.
What do you think this guy should do to stop this habit because I have tried my best to stop him but no way. You input is needed.
First of all that guy need a therapist  and he has to stay away from any betting shops or betting sites, avoid friends who are gambler's , if he can keep to what I just said changes can start from there.

It is never possible to stay away from the environment of gambling and drug addicts, moreover, even if you stay away from friends and playmates of misbehavior, it will not be possible to stay away from gambling addicts if you do not stop advertising on gambling and casino sites through various online advertisements. Moreover, learning to self-control and abstaining from forbidden things is a very difficult challenge, here usually gamblers cannot self-control and refrain from forbidden things.

No, my bad. I was just shocked by the way you think about giving a hand to a friend. It's like you are making yourself be the one responsible for what he got from the decisions he chose. I don't say we ignore him, but more of making them realize that due to his actions, people around him even his friends can have doubts about him. I don't ignore a friend personally, I just don't tolerate the actions they make if I know they are not on the right path. In this kind of situation, what we need to do is to put them on the correct path, that's the best help we can give and not to be the one paying their bills which is their own responsibility, not ours.

Yes, taking a loan is one of the things that is very risky in gambling and sometimes it goes nowhere. Because gambling will probably make you successful. In fact, the more debt you have, the more you will lose. And this will continue continuously until the gamblers become conscious.

Gamblers who often do this usually become quite popular. Gambling by taking loans will not make your life better.

This is a message that has been preached a million times, and probably just common sense that anybody will read between the lines as the risk is super high..but humans being humans we will never listen to sober advice not until we experience it ourselves and fail to win then we get to understand why not to gamble with borrowed money!

And the other thing is that, Gambling with borrowed money doesn't give you the freedom to play as you have this chip on your shoulder that will always put you under pressure and lead to reckless gambling which ends with you losing all your money.

As people who are privileged to this information, let's change the narrative going forward :)

Not everyone can tolerate pressure gambling on borrowed money puts on a gambler. Some people gamble recklessly to borrow money. Here they face more danger. A gambler can make the best decisions when he is completely financially independent but cannot make such decisions when he uses borrowed money. In gambling every gambler is under some kind of human stress during betting but when a gambler chooses to gamble with borrowed money, that stress is doubled. In that situation, even if you try to win from gambling, the result is not good.

Yeah, except for countries or states that prohibit gambling, it is not possible to stay away from a gambling environment. The awareness about gambling and the rate of advertisement done by the Bookies even makes it difficult to avoid gambling-related content. Today, I was sent a message by one of the Bookies telling me that I had been given a bonus. This is enough to revive my interest in gambling if initially I had plans to stop.

And the other thing is that, Gambling with borrowed money doesn't give you the freedom to play as you have this chip on your shoulder that will always put you under pressure and lead to reckless gambling which ends with you losing all your money.
Gambling is a very risky thing and here if one gambles with loan then he is in big danger because no one knows who will win in gambling so if one does not have own money and invests money in gambling by loan then if they don't win in gambling they lose it. How will they pay the loan? In this case, he will suffer a lot financially when he comes to accept the fun of gambling. This will bring great danger to him. So no one should take a decision take loan to gamble. In gambling one should only use one's own money as much as possible and one who can afford to lose should use as much money in gambling as possible.

When we use our own money, we have to gamble according to the rules, because if we don't, it will drain the money we have. And I never thought about gambling using money from a loan, because apart from that it could cause losses, we also have to be able to pay it back.

There is no reason whatsoever that I can see to gamble with borrowed money. And there is nothing that can be justified in doing that. If someone still forces themselves to do something like that, then we need to question how they think.
