I think that gambling can have bad effects but calling it a social crime is too much. Gambling can make people lose money and cause problems in relationships but it is up to each person to decide if they want to do it. Some religions dont allow gambling but we should respect everyone's beliefs and freedoms. Instead of scaring people about gambling we should educate them so they can make smart choices and know the risks.
I am a Muslim and I don't do gambling. In my religion it is Haram. But if a non Muslim is doing so I can't say anything to him/her.

I agree, calling it a social crime is actually extreme because just like every other thing like smoking and drinking can cause harm if done excessively. Gambling can cause no negative effects if it's done moderately that's why awareness programs are very important so people can be aware of the dangers and negative impacts of gambling if they get addicted to it, especially those that are not of the right age to be involved in gambling. Gambling is everyones personal choice and it's not a bad thing as long as you don't let it affect your lifestyle, religion, family and career.

As you've pointed out, gambling is legal in many countries and is heavily regulated to mitigate its negative impacts. Many casinos only allow high-net-worth individuals, which I'm not eligible for, but I don't oppose the wealthy participating and contributing to the economy through taxes.

You are right, it's impossible for a gambler to say that he is investing. I don't see any relationship in them because gambling is like putting your money into something that the chance of you making profit is very slim, and losses is inevitable.
