Now they are done with AI because technology allows it, but before chatGPT3 there were also fake videos with giveaways that required you to send your bitcoin first to allegedly receive the giveaway later. All scams, of course. With Elon Musk there are also a few. Nowadays you have to be more vigilant than ever because with AI, scams can become more realistic than ever.

deepfake videos can generate videos, but the rules that scammers follow are simple, which is either use double your money scam, or free gifts distributions, or a guaranteed and quick profit, or any trick that seems too good to be true, and here you should not trust the Twitter or video, but rather search and ask here and You did not find an answer. Everything that seems too good to be true is a scam.

The thing is just that some people are so greedy and ignorant, and that's why they can actually fall victim to this kind of scam. I can't just see any crypto giveaway and jump into it without verifying if it is actually legit or a scam. If I am not very sure about the giveaway, I will just let it slide.

Last year, someone also shared their experience about a very well-known crypto influencer in their country's social account getting hacked, and the hackers began to send messages to his followers, asking them to send their bitcoins to a Bitcoin address he provided so that it could get doubled. Some people actually fell victim.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the information; It will help others learn and prepare themselves against this scam.

Re: Michael Saylor Warns of Deepfake Bitcoin Giveaway Scams Featuring Him and Micros
This is what happens when a thing called AI is created.
It can be beneficial for most people but at the same time, it will be harmful for most of us as well.

What we need is knowledge. We need to know how to distinguish between a scam, and not. What we need is a little bit of common sense, and we will know that a Bitcoin giveaway like this will never happen especially from a famous influencer like him. I've seen numerous YouTube channels in the past getting hacked, and these channels are being used to scam people. They will hide the owner's videos, make a live stream of a famous influencer in a meeting or forum whatsoever, and they will put a link on the description box saying that if you deposit X amount of money in that address, it will double almost immediately which is false of course, but many still fall on this trap for some reasons.

Anyway, I just looked at the subject title alone, and I already know that it's a scam because I've seen it happen many times. Expect more of this in the upcoming months and during the bull market.

This is one of the many reasons why people are afraid of AI and its negative effects on our lives. With AI , scammers have more sophisticated means of carrying out their scams.

We have recently witnessed many cases in which AI has been used to defraud people. This is unfortunate because humans are immediately moving to use modern technologies for evil instead of using them in useful areas.

As development in the field of artificial intelligence continues, I fear that artificial intelligence will turn into a scary virus that causes anxiety in our lives.

Victims of giveaway scams are greedy, because even if scammers use a deepfake video or not, you should not believe that there is free money or money doubling schemes anywhere. Before you fall for a giveaway scam, ask yourself why you have to deposit some money first to get higher than that in return, why don't they just send you what they claim you have won.

Take note also that celebrity accounts can also get hacked, so even if such posts is coming from the verified accounts of celebrities or popular people, do not believe it and don't send money to anyone.

These AIs have become one of the tools of scammers to scam people, they can generate videos, voice, and articles, but it's not easy to tell the difference because the imitation is so perfect that you can't tell the difference.
Even if you're good at looking, but you are not updated on the latest tools these scammers are using to scam people you will easily deceive.
AIs are created to help so many industries but they also help scammers indirectly to scam people, scammers have become innovative I'd like to think that these scammers are one step forward so we have to read and be updated, our knowdledge is our toll to combat these scammers.

I used to see a free crypto whose total value when I looked at bscscan was around 3500$, but when I cashed out the gas fee reached 210$, that's when I thought it was a scam or a hacker. That's why such styles should be avoided immediately.

This is not different from the Elon Musk time had, x(formally Twitter) was full of Bitcoin giveaways by different people just to scam people there hard earn money and that's simply because he was the face of the Bitcoin community back then but since he has taken time off from Bitcoin activity, Michael Saylor has become the most active person because clearly he is one of the most reputable person that love Bitcoin.

This might not be the end, I urge people to learn and read about scams, they should know that there is nothing free in this life in free a town, nobody has free bitcoin to give to anyone. If it was free, whare will the institutional investors make their profits, so it's better we learn and stay alert about securities and scams.

It is hard to believe, but there are still many victims of this and the reason why they fall for it is because of their greed, if not that they are greedy why would one think they can earn free crypto by first sending a portion of what they have. People fall for some of the most stupid type of scams once their greedy side is triggered, but the good thing is that people who are knowledgeable cannot fall for any of these scams.

I don't even know what makes some people think someone like Michael Saylor will turn to be a father Christmas in giving away his assets to the people just on a voluntary platter of gold for nothing, people were also found a victim of scam because they are too expectant of something free to grab, all these are part of the ways this scammers take to draw our interest on what they are faking on us, we should be at alert on seing things coming as free, they might have an intention of attack.

To most innocent and newcomers to the cryptocurrency industry, it would be difficult to resist these so-called "deepfake" giveaways or airdrops since they are usually featuring famous people and even celebrities to fool people to share private information that can lead to many things. The moment I saw a post enticing readers for a giveaway as it has Elon Musk on it, I immediately realized that it was just a scam. Indeed, there is no free lunch and when something can be too good to be true then most probably it is not good. Good to be warned!

Humans like something free. Humans also are greedy by nature. This kind of greed can be avoided with the help of not being ignorant. I can remember the Elon Musk fake giveaway video that I watched when I was a newbie to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, it looked real like it was Elon Musk but it was fake. This can make newbies to fall victim of this. But in anything we are about to do, we should make research for us not to become a scammed victims.

But it is surprisingly the video the scammers are generating using AI to deceive people are many. Micheal Saylor tweeted on X just yesterday that approximately 80 AI fake videos of him are taken down everyday.

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ There is no risk-free way to double your #bitcoin, and @MicroStrategy doesn't give away $BTC to those who scan a barcode. My team takes down about 80 fake AI-generated @YouTube videos every day, but the scammers keep launching more. Don't trust, verify.

For people that learn how to avoid crypto scam, they will not fall for this. I remember when I was a newbie, that was what I first learned and it helped me a lot.

It is only ignorant people that will fall for this type of scam. In fact, that video alone is a massive red flag. Infact if it were the real Taylor that promised such giveaways, I would immediately report him to the security agencies. In my country, they say if you are uniformed, you are deformed. Therefore it is only the uniformed people about crypto that will fall for this and end up being metaphorically deformed all round.
