True. And that is what humans felt during and after those events because that's human nature. It will affect ourselves based on how we react to winnings and loss. That is why we need to be mentally and physically fit before going to gambling activities so that we are able to control our emotions.

Well, watching football all day is addictive, playing e-Sport alsofucking additive, not only for those who play it, also for those who watch it.

So, the addiction effect is always present, but it is activated in "disease" mode according to each individual.

Of course there are phases of stress, intensity, but it is each person's path to control them and that is where I raise my hand to say; Betting should not affect your healthy mind, if you have a positive experience with the game.

By the way, with positive situation, I do not mean making profits, its regardless of this, winning or losing, you remain mentally healthy.

If regular gamblers stop suddenly, it can affect their mental health. What is your opinion?
Correct. Because of this, when a gambler quits, they need extra love and support from those around them to help them overcome their addiction to gambling, as leaving them alone to do so may trigger their gambling addiction.

It's not an easy task to stop gambling. People who love their sanity will do everything in their power to relocate to a region with no gambling establishments.

Gambling is usually played as a form of entertainment. But nowadays many people want to adopt it as a means of earning money. If you win by gambling early on, it will release dopamine in your brain. As a result you will try to play more later.

It is true that gambling is generally played for fun by people because everyone wants to see their favorite team win. But I mainly gamble and bet on three types of games which are football games and cricket games and jackpots. I usually like to see my favorite team always win here I get great pleasure and I usually bet here. When my favorite team loses, I feel very sad and my mental strength is weak.

This is how it will make you addicted. It affects the mental health of those who gamble regularly. It acts as an arousal during play, causing anxiety. As we feel before the exam. If regular gamblers stop suddenly, it can affect their mental health. What is your opinion?

And can never give up gambling, it keeps me mentally strong.
I left gambling to practice health and mental balance.

People usually do not gamble for fun but they play with the aim of making money and winning big jackpots. But gambling is a highly addictive addiction where people will definitely get stuck here at some point if they play this game regularly day in and day out. And when a person gets stuck in gambling he loses his mental balance and falls into many harms and at one time his health is put under a lot of stress and suffers from that illness. Gambling creates a separate addiction in his brain where he cannot live without gambling and gradually his addiction grows. So if you want to gamble, you must keep your responsibility and don't immerse yourself in gambling, if you immerse yourself, you will definitely lose money and lose your mental balance. So one should always keep oneself under control while gambling and refrain from excessive gambling.

Of course, gambling can have a negative effect on people mentally, especially when a gambler loses a big bet. Many a time many gamblers cannot accept such defeats easily so they become mentally broken when they suffer huge losses and become bankrupt. Moreover, these problems are more acute in the case of gamblers who live a lonely life and in some cases they become mentally disordered and go crazy. And for those gamblers who take part in gambling with loans, if they lose for any reason, they do not hesitate to commit suicide.

In so many Occasions when you see someone is affected with mental disorder during Gambling or something else that requires money in it,  will see that it was caused as a result of Loss of property (wealth). In Fact it leads to some people's death because of huge amount of money they have loss for betting and there minds could not bear the pains inside them and put them in the stage of dilemma and confusion ,But when they win feels happy for it. So that's how it do affected their mental health.
Always be yourself.

You are very correct about the dopamine effect gambling has on the brain, gamblers that are chronically addicted don't care whether they lose or win they just want to satisfy the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the consequences. Continuing in this addiction can affect your mental health negatively, if a gambler stops gambling I wouldn't really say your mental health would be affected in fact that's way of helping yourself. Gambling constantly Can lead to anxiety and depression, this can affect every area of your life

The mentality of an addict will be really affected, because there is something that will be stuck in their brain and it causes anxiety or whatever, exactly as you said.

Usually all addicts will feel that, not only in gambling addiction, but it is for all forms of addiction that we know so far. This may also be said to be a disease in health and that is why we recommend for those who are addicted to go to an expert.

What is your opinion?
You are not wrong because a lot of things can actually affect our mental health, and gambling, especially gambling too often, can be one of those things that can make the mental health of an individual poor or affected. To avoid getting to a level where your mental health declines up to the level where it starts causing you problems as well as problems with your relationship with your family and friends, you should always take out time to pause and reevaluate your gambling activities so that you can remain a responsible gambler who gambles within his or her limits.

True and it will forever create a negative effect to that specific individual if not treated or rehabilitated. At first it will ruin their apetite and their physical health will deteriorate and then they will become moody and if poor they will begin to steal and do stupid things and will soon become agressive that is ehy if left untreated some of them became homeless and will develop a mental disorder that may end them up to mental hospital and unfortunately for some that has no family and relatives they are roaming in the streets.

Gambling is very risky and those who are addicted to it incur huge financial losses due to which they suffer from depression and it puts them under mental pressure and hence it has a bad effect on mental health. So gambling should be used as fun as much as possible and gambling should be taken in such a way that it becomes addictive. It is a very active thing so very quickly a person becomes addicted to gambling which later damages them both financially and mentally.

Re: Does gambling affect mental health?
« Reply #28 on: September 13, 2024, 08:35:51 PM »
Gambling is usually played as a form of entertainment. But nowadays many people want to adopt it as a means of earning money. If you win by gambling early on, it will release dopamine in your brain. As a result you will try to play more later. This is how it will make you addicted. It affects the mental health of those who gamble regularly. It acts as an arousal during play, causing anxiety. As we feel before the exam. If regular gamblers stop suddenly, it can affect their mental health. What is your opinion?

In so many Occasions when you see someone is affected with mental disorder during Gambling or something else that requires money in it,  will see that it was caused as a result of Loss of property (wealth). In Fact it leads to some people's death because of huge amount of money they have loss for betting and there minds could not bear the pains inside them and put them in the stage of dilemma and confusion ,But when they win feels happy for it. So that's how it do affected their mental health.

Well said. A mental health problem does not arise out of nowhere. The thought of losing something important or valuable can drive anyone crazy, especially if the loss could have been avoided. Sometimes I see posts from punters who post games and then write "BET YOUR HOUSE ON THIS." This type of write-up can persuade a gambler to make decisions against his will or to bet more than usual in order to win big.

When things do not go as planned, the gambler will suffer a severe loss, and if money was borrowed to gamble or a property was sold to gamble, the gambler may develop a mental health problem as a result of the significant loss. This is why, as a gambler, you should avoid being desperate to win.

Have you heard that statement or regular phrases that often says gamble with what you can afford to lose??
Yes, no matter how attractive the bet could be its imperatively to know that what you bet might be lost forever without even you having that luck to get it back again, so why would they go gamble with an amount they can't afford to lose or let go. So betting a house or any physical properties doesn't show how clever that gambler is because they are extremely taking higher risk.
