That's not always the case. Some gamblers have few wins and few losses. In my opinion, you should be moderate in both your staking and your expectations. people are too hopeful that even with the smallest amount of chance that they win they will still try and hope for the best nothing wrong with indulging your hopes from time to time but if you keep on trying to make your dreams come true even though you have been humbled multiple times then that is when it becomes a problem

I do not see anything wrong with trying to win. Trying to win is not a problem; the problem is in how we try to win. A gambler who gambles with a limitation is also trying to win, but he will not have a problem as long as he adheres to the limitation he has established.

However, if a gambler is chasing winnings and fails to set or stake a limit, this becomes a problem for the gambler. This is where the problem lies, because the gambler will gamble uncontrollably, causing problems for himself, as you mentioned.
