Put this in places that if you keep those money into investment do you know how much you would gain by the end of the month or year without even you making such profits while gambling but yet we kept preaching the word "gamble with what you can afford to lose" why not some people use that same money to go into bitcoin investment or any other investment that could help their lives rather than wasting them into gambling and even secure a better winning themselves.
It is imperative to understand that the majority of people who gamble, particularly in Nigeria, are poor, and they do so because they see gambling as a source of wealth. The majority of them will tell you that gambling is an investment, and the bet slip is a receipt for that investment. If you are lucky, the bet slip turns into a cheque, and you can walk into the bet shop, which is similar to a bank, show the cashier your cheque (bet slip), and claim your winning. The majority of gamblers think like this.
On second thought, the amount of money most of them use for gambling is such that it cannot be used for any meaningful investment, and if you decide to save the money, it will take a very long time to have a meaningful savings, and I bet you that even if such gamblers decide to save, because they do not have a good job, they will definitely use that savings to solve problems before it matures for investment. This has been the challenge for some who attempted to save.
For example, in gambling, you can use 200 Naira to place a bet and hope for a return, and if you place such an amount on five tickets, the total will be 1,000 Naira. Now, in our current reality in Nigeria, what investment can such a person make with 1,000 naira? Or is it possible to invest 1,000 Naira in Bitcoin? It cannot be done. Sadly, that 1,000 Naira is not even equivalent to a dollar.
