To me the most painful part is when applying for a job and they are looking for individuals with 5-10 years work experience me wey just dey graduate.
Nowadays looking for a white-collar job is difficult but having a skill or craft can also be helpful to provide for yourself, being an entrepreneur even do it is hard and expensive especially looking for  capital to start business is better than someone just waiting for or looking for job employment
Lol…. This is very painful like if they are busy looking for people with 5-10 years experience how do they expect us who graduated and yet to have job be employed? It’s really not fair.

Looking for white collar jobs now na very big deal and e de take connection to get work for this country now na why everybody no de send white collar job again con de find something do for themselves. People are now going into working online or looking for hand work that will benefit them.

The era where we see people printing too many CVs, and carrying their files(credentials) up and down in search for work is gradually fading away. Most people already believes that it is quite difficult to get a white collar job, and they are not far from the truth, which has led them to creating job opportunities for themselves the very moment the need to start providing basic needs comes into play.

The Truth is, there are several job opportunities on the internet. A friend of mine sometime ago was showing me some available positions for both remote and physical job opportunities. All that was required was the knowledge of those skills/jobs. How many online jobs these days even ask for your school degree? Just few in my opinion.

Sometimes to even see the job self na waec, person go suffer dey waka up and down with certificates from company to company, office to office still receive insults from some wicked employers, yet no good job. Funny enough they done turn the whole job hunting situation to man know man something and person wey no sabi person dey waste em time. Nigeria na very rich country and our government fit make the country great again but they choose to be wicked and selfish by mismanaging our resources and using it's benefits for their selfish interests. Omo people done too suffer for this country and the poverty rate dey increase rapidly and I no go suprise if some youths start to dey steal for survival. Well that no be excuse for stealing sha cause our people say if dem no help you help yourself since government no gree create job opportunities many sensible youths done begin dey seize the opportunities of seeking different online freelancing jobs so those youths wey dey go steal from people are wrong maybe them be illiterate wey no fit read and write.

Bro if no be online job, wetting we get to do for this country?
Because of high rate of unemployment, many Nigerians don turn online vendors, everyone is looking for way to survive and the Government is making things worse everyday by increasing the price of fuel wey suppose they down to help us regulate the price of goods in the market.

To get job in Nigeria now is by connection bro, they do scam people by given them job offers to buy, you will end up no job and your money is gone. Everyone is looking for way to take advantage of others in this country, we have to look for ways to survive and since some of us are very intelligent, we do work online to get paid which is very interesting.

Everyone is looking for way to take advantage of others in this country, we have to look for ways to survive and since some of us are very intelligent, we do work online to get paid which is very interesting.

Take a look at the airdrop ecosystem, half of numbers of players in any airdrop is dominated by the Nigerians because that's a result of unemployment. No person with a real paying job will want to sit down and be checking an app that isn't payment guaranteed be tapping their phones for 6 months and it's not just one or two, they are many others they do just to get something.

The government has failed alot of dreams and people with good prospective mind to create a good impact and knowledge to the society but the government is not helping, the are just focus on noise and noise without showing any workings, just a corrupt group of people doing the same things over and over without any changes or developments for all.

This is the problem we are facing in this country, an organization would be putting up such criteria for employment then how about the new fresh graduate that are very much vibrant in service, eager and ready to deliver, how would they then gain experience if they are not given the platform to showcase their knowledge and ability. Companies be putting up years of experience and be employing shaft and sacked workers from other companies who would lie to them neglecting the fresh young graduates with bright futures.

These days, it is just better one learn skills or start up a business venture if they have the capacity to do so as the rate of unemployment in our country is alarming and the worst of it all is that the government is not helping matters. Instead of creating new opportunities, they are busy closing the ones already in existence citing reasons best known to them. It is quite unfortunate that with our resources, our government can not do anything for the unemployed youths.

And shockingly, this unrealistic criteria that most companies pull up, is now forcing some Nigerians to tell lies about themselves. I heard of a woman who is receiving a good pay from a company, but the company doesn't know that she is married, because it was never stated by her. She had to lie just because the company might be demanding for a none married worker. I won't be surprise when forgery of fake birth certificate will become rampant, just because of company demands.

So, you are right by suggesting that people should start learning skills. Even though the money to open a business can be difficult for some, but sometimes, we have to try to start from somewhere (start small). If you eventually become a boss of your own, no one will give you unrealistic rules to abide by, because the responsibility is now 100% yours.

That age declaration and fake identity is now the order of the day. Go to government institutions that is where you would see lots of them. These people are the ones not giving up their position for the younger generation to come in as a result of their false and fake age declaration.  They reduce their age virtually every year with legal backings after swearing affidavit under oath. I think the court or registry is another problem we are having here because if a thorough investigation is done into age declaration of people at the court, you would discover that many people have reduced their age more than 10 times just to retain their job for no reason to giving up their position for the younger generation. It is absurd because everybody is just afraid because the day they leave office, that is the end of their network of cash flow for them so they become greedy and selfish interest comes in.

As for skills development, that is just what I think could salvage the situation of things in this country as things are beginning to get hay wire as that is the only option left for survival. With you start a business venture or you develop yourself in skills acquisition to making sure you have something doing for survival.

Unemployment rate is no longer a joke we are having different schools having different graduates in different courses but no job for them and one thing wey dey funny me is the fact that even the places where jobs are available will always asked for someone with more than a year experience
If every single employer out there is looking for an experienced person how will the new graduates niw have the opportunity to get this experience
I really pray it changes for the better sooner or later because at this rate there will also be an increase in criminal activities
Man most survive

They turn down a lot of people because they don't have enough experience to take the job but they don't give them a chance to learn. Some of these young people are full of brilliant ideas and also industrious, even without years of experience they might have some ideas and skills they might take the company or organization to a higher level, but these employers keep having the wrong mentality about alm These. That's why it's advisable to have a skill that pays off just Incase getting a job becomes difficult.

During our parent's time, you must go to school for you to secure a white-collar job for a better life. Butit is not the same anymore a white-collar job have become very hard to find and sometimes, they can be a big disappointment with the current rate of inflation that is ongoing. Cost of commodity is skyrocketing every day and the government is not increasing workers salary, but they are busy increasing the price of petrol. Those that have white collar jobs without an additional means of investment are the ones suffering because a time might come that their salaries might not be able to meet with their needs anymore. Online jobs are the best because it knows no boundary. Skill job is very good because when you are good at it, you will be the one to benefit more from it without looking at the government.

Trying to depend on the government currently for employment opportunity will only lead you to poverty because even when you manage to get a job, It will not be a high-paying job that will be able to sustain you in this unstable and ever-increasing prices of things in the markets. The best way out of poverty right now in Nigeria aside a well-paying job is a high-paying skill that gives you the opportunity to meet high-paying clients locally or to get a job that pays you in foreign currency. Stop depending on the government because they do not care about you, and that is the bitter truth.

Stop depending on the government because they do not care about you, and that is the bitter truth.

I have heard of some youths in an oil producing state in Nigeria that literally don't involve themselves in the normal hustle of live. They just sit around and argue for their own share of state own crude oil. Like they just depend on what the government/Crude buyers give to them because they feel it's their right, so they don't bother to do anything else. I see no reason why a full grown up will be requesting for a share of what he did not bring to this life, but was opportuned to be part of just because he/she was giving birth to In that region.

From a general sense, it's actually the right of every individual of a locality to benefit from any raw material that comes from that locality, but when we start having cases of people who choose to depend on the benefits, without finding a meaningful job for him/herself, then it will be an additional problem to the society, because that person in question is already a liability.
