Winning brings joy and when you want to become greedy when winning it will lead you to great losses because no one can keep winning constantly. Self control matters a lot in gambling because it will help you to know the right time for you to stop gambling and that will lower the risk in losing more. Our emotions can be controlled when one gamble for fun and don't get carried away with the present condition of your bet. This is why it is good to set a time limit and gambling budget for your gambling activities.

It is because of the winning people are gambling and not because they are losing. And all the determinations of a gambler is to win but it is not possible for the gambler to win always. And the losing and the winning make gambling more interesting. When a gambler loses, he would like to play and win back his loss and when a gambler wins, he would like to win more. So to quit gambling is hard but with self control, he can do it.

Yeah that is one thing common with gambler they never quits for any reason provided that the person is gambling responsibly even though he is losing he would take a break for awhile and then continue again. I think 1:10 win/loss ratio was I think more accurate compared to 50/50 and from that perspective we will not be having a good return therefore it is I think the sign that we gamblers might get broke 99% because the remaining one percent only allocates winning rate for me. So far from my gambler activities I never had a life changing win that is why I put limits on my bets.

Surely, you should be very grateful when you can still control yourself and manage yourself very well and wisely in gambling. Because as you said, the majority can't. even more than that, very lost of control, even tending to spread to gambling addiction. I could remember way back when I was always gambling without luck and run at loss almost every time that I gamble. This will make me say to myself I will quit gambling, but after a while, I will think of gambling and I will try to hold myself back, which happens. gambling can affect anyone even the most secure person you know once they feel that high if winning, they can never stop and crave for it all the time although of course it might be easier to control your gambling if you have already managed to take care of yourself and be a well rounded person

well rounded person is someone who has control of his emotions as well as his actions i can not guarantee that you will not be addicted to gambling however if you have already worked on yourself and you carry maturity with you then you’d probably not fall down the gambling hole as deep as people who are unstable

Disagree. You're implying that we're no better than animals and our lives are driven by urges we're unable to control.
Any adult who has developed enough self-discipline and who has a basic understanding of emotional reactions and how they can be controlled will be able to stay away from harmful activities.
That's probably why the vast majority of people do not gamble at all.

Yes that is it, lot of people who doesn't know how to control themselves or gamble always since they don't have money to allocate to their gambling account.
We know it's very important to have something doing to enable us continue gambling if not we may not gamble because we don't have a stable cash flow to regularly funds our gambling account when we needs to gamble.
