Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?

Whether or not bitcoin will survive like gold, in my opinion, depends on the level of public trust/use, and the level of adoption, whether it is accepted or continues to be blocked by the government as it is now, because society is looking for a level of security where every investment is prioritized and clarity of recognition from the government itself.

Bitcoin will survive like gold,  Aaron; everything goes up and down. It is expected. We have seen this in gold, too. The price of gold has gone up and down in the past. The cost of Bitcoin is also lower and higher and will continue to be. But its position is getting better and will get better ahead. Bitcoin is a permanent coin; in the near future, it will become a government-recognized coin, then it will become permanent like gold.

Gold have been longer investment assets by many people before bitcoin launching last several years ago, but comparison profitable earn more faster when investing in bitcoin than gold. I don't sure gold will replace bitcoin one day later because gold have been early already for investment assets than bitcoin and its difficult with some new kinds investment can replacing bitcoin.
Until right now not any new kinds of digital payment currency or investment way can't replacing well for bitcoin as investment assets or digital currency transaction.

Gold is a natural resource that we do have or could be found in earth and we do know its value on which you could really be able to tell into yourself that it would really be that hard for it to be that replaced but something that do talks about Bitcoin then we do know that this isnt something that could be hold up or touch or simply its just that been composed of codes
but somehow in speaking about its features and utility then it is something that hard to believe that it would be replaced by something new someday.
Somehow there's no way that we could predict on what the future looks like but at least we are really that trying out to make ourselves that getting prepared on whatever
things that could happen in the future years to come.

Well yeah we need Bitcoin to achieve financial freedom either through hodling or trading though we can also get it through Altcoins but with Bitcoin it is way more reliable since we already know the Bitcoins performance ever since it was created. 😁

Your explanation is a proof already that bitcoin can't be replaced today and we know that many crypto based their prices on bitcoin's price movement. I also believe the other that nothing lasts forever but I don't think we wil be there until it's end, even the 116 years isn't a short time to wait.

It will be a very long time and those of us who comment now do not exist in that age, only our children and grandchildren will know about it.
But I believe that Bitcoin will grow rapidly after all the Bitcoins are mined, and by then it has entered a more modern and more sophisticated era.

Imagining the future of Bitcoin as a crypto digital currency that cannot be replaced by any coin.
Of course, there will be more new coins that will emerge and claim that they can surpass bitcoin and all its aspects.

Bitcoin can never be replaced by any currency neither will any of these coin take over bitcoin, the only that could affect bitcoin is power and without power in most of the countries it could be hard to use the bitcoin unlike gold that doesn't need power rather you can have them physically as property that is only place and area I think gold has advantage over bitcoin. But one thing for sure is that bitcoin is a digital currency just like similar to gold or do I say is a digital gold?

So far, I also don't see a chance of another coin to replace Bitcoin. It is not only about the power of Bitcoin but it is also about the role of Bitcoin and its historical side. There is no other crypto coins which have the similarity as Bitcoin, even Ethereum is quite different with Bitcoin. We know Ethereum as the king of altcoins, it even has no ability to take over Bitcoin.

Yep. Many people assume Bitcoin has the similarity as Gold because the uniqueness of Bitcoin. The number of Gold is limited in the world, Bitcoin supply is also very limited. It is different with other crypto coins which many of them have large number of supply. Even there are crypto coins which have unlimited supply. And there are many other similarities between Gold and Bitcoin.

well I don't have this knowledge that gold is limited and I still don't believed that since gold can be extracted from the ground in the region that produces and there no specific amount to quantify gold. Although people believed that it is limited but not, unlike bitcoin that we know it has a fixed figure and digits of supply we have.

I hope that will make it a reality... yes even though sometimes I think that Bitcoin can die like others, because I know Bitcoin is still quite new, I hope it can survive much longer.
Even if it doesn't become something bigger, I still have hope that Bitcoin becomes the reason something becomes bigger and impacts the world.

If the demand for Bitcoin remains higher then Bitcoin will not die but if demands reduce and people move towards another technology then the value of Bitcoin will remain lower which will not be profitable for most of the investors hence its use will be reduced.

Bitcoin is successful because of the huge acceptance and preference from the people throughout the world and if more countries start to accept Bitcoin then it will become bigger and more profitable in contrast to the past performance.

Including Bitcoin... will one day we leave Bitcoin too and remember it as history?? Bitcoin is only 15 years old, very young compared to gold... According to some researchers, gold was first discovered in 2450 BC, meaning that until now the age of gold is 4473 years...

Bitcoin has no comparison with Gold because these two are totally different things, the biggest difference is their existence, people prefer Gold not even diamonds, because it is ancient and their ancestors were into Gold only. I don't know about you but here in Pakistan, in marriages, people give a lot of gold to their brides. Not everyone but the ones who can afford prefer Gold over diamond. So Gold is most demand in compared to Diamond and BTC is far from the list.

I will say BTC has a comparison with Gold when people in Pakistan will be giving BTC to their brides instead of Gold. But the main question is, whether the parents or the bride herself will accept BTC or not. BTC will survive like Gold and it's hard to say if it will be replaced by any other coin, my perspective is it can't be.

Every alt coin ever is built and inspired by foundations laid by Bitcoin. Each is an attempt to dethrone the king. However many altcoins there are, that's how many attempts Bitcoin has tried to be replaced.

We consider Bitcoin as the pioneer in the world and market of cryptocurrency and that means all altcoins became possible all because of it...their existence will not be here if not for Bitcoin hence they are just minions in the first place and since this is not a kingdom where the king will surely die I am not seeing the possibility for Bitcoin to be soon replaced not even by Ethereum. Very true, Quantum computers can be quite harmful for current Bitcoin technology and in order to combat that the developers have to create advanced algorithms. I believe in next two decades we many have quantum computers available for consumer use and by then developers have to come up with solutions to prevent brute forces that might be done with the help of those quantum computers.

Yes, Quantum computers are like the ultimate superhackers and they could laugh at Bitcoin’s security and hack their way into it. But I guess the devs would also be prepared for ‘em, and I also guess they’re already developing some really top-notch algorithms to guard our assets from those quantum super villains. Oh sure, we will probably have quantum computers in our homes in like 20 years or so and anything beyond that could be insane! But I think by then the devs would have hopefully hacked a way to at least protect our Bitcoin from those brute force ones.
