Well, who can't tell really. IMO, it will be unlikely, considering Bitcoin has the strongest network security that is unlikely to change considering how many prefer PoS or something similar nowadays. Not to mention being the first crypto will always make Bitcoin look more valuable, with its scarce supply, etc. A new coin would need to offer more or less the same thing, and with how crowded the space is, that seems unlikely. Even if it no longer holds the 1st spot on market cap websites, no one would throw Bitcoin away if the network is still running properly.

Your opinion suggests that you are positive about the future of Bitcoin.  Bitcoin's security, stability, and its status as the first cryptocurrency put it in a strong position compared to other cryptos.  Due to Bitcoin's scarcity (supply) and being the largest network, it still has the power to hold the top spot in the crypto market.
 While many prefer PoS (Proof of Stake) or other methods, Bitcoin's PoW (Proof of Work) model is critical to maintaining its strong network security and stability.  And even if Bitcoin loses the top spot in terms of market cap, it won't lose its market due to the stability and reliability of its network.

What I just observed between these two is that each of their holders are given credit to their investment and they will say their own side of the story to favour their investment. Actually I agree more if we have big capital, we can buy both. Gold and bitcoin are good investments. Gold is more stable for investment and bitcoin is more profitable, although if we talk about the risk, bitcoin has a bigger risk.

we need to understand that bitcoin was not built in one night it wasn’t successful immediately and until now it is still on its way to soar bitcoin basically had a 14 year head start and a lot of projects would need to catch up to that which would be very difficult
