It seems that in the next ten years, bitcoin will not be replaced by other top coins. If we look at the top coins currently, they do not have the popularity and trust of investors like bitcoin. But anything can happen in the future, although currently there are no coins that have the potential to replace bitcoin in the future. I read a lot of member comments about predictions of bitcoin replacement coins, but it seems like there are none yet
Even if anything can happen in the future, then we might want to take a sit and really think of what might possibly go wrong that will make an altcoin to overtake Bitcoin, which I think there is none from my own reasoning. Bitcoin compared to the others is very much clear. The difference in market cap, price, trust, investors, adoptions, etc, is very much clear. Bitcoin is far ahead of them in terms of those things I just mentioned, though technological wise is quite different.
Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?
If I understand this correctly, you are asking if a new form of money can replace Bitcoin entirely?.
Well, Bitcoin happens to be a digital currency, and hasn't replaced the fiat currency in this present day. Bitcoin is existing independently as it's own form of technology(cryptocurrency), which I think there won't be any other form of technology that might surpass it as long as cryptocurrency is concerned. But there will surely be other inventions in the future that might want to compete with Bitcoin, but those inventions won't come from cryptocurrency.
It might possibly survive like gold, but I am not too sure of this, since technology keeps advancing everyday, and humans keeps adapting to such technology at the same rate. Remember that Bitcoin is more of a technology, while gold is different, so their years of existence might differ.
