A common scenarios from Mixing company that scam sites coming from here and there , trying to mislead users to at least send their funds into those fake sites ,and thank you for always exposing them ahead of time since this Mixer is just new and needs to keep their name safer and
i believe that your banner will help others to find the real one , best to mention your signature from time to time aside from exposing this scam sites.

Each link should be checked before clicking on it, because even legitimate sources can be compromised. Any user of this or any other forum can be hacked, and a hacker can easily change the link in the signature. Don't trust, verify

Yeah, but sometimes there is a slip on all of us and say we forget to check everything before clicking any link. So hopefully we can memorized that adage of not trusting but verifying all the times.

And hopefully this should be the norm for crypto enthusiast specially mixers is one of the most cloned sites because cyber criminals thinks that somewhere, somehow, we might forget and just trust what we see in the internet or what Big G shows when we do our search.

Thank you for this information you have brought here. I am very much sure that members would see it here and know what to do next. I could imagine how many people they must have scammed before being caught. This is quite unfortunate that people would not be able to identify the real from the fake when ever they encounter them. Most newbies are the victims of this act and as such are very much likely to fall for the scam they use.
Proper research could help one stay abreast of happenings and also getting information and can be able to detect fake from the original. This is why we are advised to do our own  research so as to be on the safe side.

If I'm not mistaken, Thormixer.io is new to the game, but if we look at it, there are already a phishing site created by this scammers. So thanks to the OP for exposing them and for sure this is not going to be the last one..

And just like what others have been preaching, just be careful and we shouldn't trust sites that are given to us . We need to verify first that we are in the correct URL before mixing our coins and not to be the next victim.

Has anyone tried reporting the site to their registrar and google? Back then in Bitcointalk when unijoin faced attack from scammers that created several clones we were able to bring them by reporting them to their registrar and letting them know that the site they hosted is being used for malicious activity.

I didn’t see for the registrar (nicenic.net) and according to what I read - it’s been used mostly to host scam sites so there’s a high possibility that this won’t be brought down even if we notify them.

The phishing version uses a single Bitcoin address, so if you create more than one session you will get that address and they have zero Bitcoin in that address. I am glad they were not able to fool anyone.

Yes, even those who are experienced users got lured and phished by fake sites before. This scenario happens always because google search that shows scammed sites on the upper top of the search page using a google ads. That's why adblocker is a must when accessing any site.

scammers buy some paid articles, add phishing links to those articles and appear first in Google search results.
They buy similar domains, but with an old registration date, or they try to make the real domain appear second in the search results, or when some spelling is written incorrectly.

When I search for thormixer their altcoinstalks ANN topic appears on the forum first, this indicates that the quality of the forum results has increased well over the past.

I agree, it can be added that it is a phishing link and mentions the real domain name.
It is a good idea to click on links from signatures or from ANN.

If there are people who only read the titles, it's not the OP's fault. It's not plausible that someone would use a mixer and then be so negligent that they wouldn't check the titles carefully before using the service.

This type of phishing site has become so common that scammers often change only one letter so that the victim does not notice, so the first responsibility falls primarily on the user, and if he falls victim, it is his fault.

This the comment I have been looking for;
I am writing in this thread because of curiosity for the fact that I wear Thormixer signature. I read Tormixer as Thormixer which sounds same. It was when I opened the thread that I understood it was about a phishing scam which has been discussed in the Thormixer thread.

Op renaming the title of this thread could be a nice idea. You can go with a title like this; "Beware: Tormixer, a phishing site."

Quit unfortunate as the mixer space keep widening so are attempt by scammers trying to phish well known company and site, at one look you will think that the domain is same as that of thormixer because the scammers carefully chose a name that is closer to the original domain of thormixer.
