It steamed from that one lost he suffered from Bivol. In the first fight against GGG, we know that he lost and that's why it takes time for a rematch to happen. And as if Canelo waited for GGG to become old to give him that fight. And then his mistakes of thinking that he is unstoppable then, by going up to 175 lbs and challenge become and he was clearly beaten.

And so after that, Canelo and his team are very careful in choosing their next opponents. He doesn't want another L in his record that might hurt his status as the cash cow of boxing. And so with that, it will be Berlanga, another inexperience fighter and then they try to spin and have a story board of Mexico vs Puerto Rico. Of course, there will still be fans that are going to buy the tickets or PPV. But still for some fans, this is like a tune up for him.

Yes, it's the experience that they will get on fighting the cash cow like Canelo. Take for example himself, his first lost is against a very prime Floyd Mayweather. And after that lost, Canelo went on a winning streak, beat a lot of great boxers along the way, become the face of boxing, until he was defeated by Bivol. And so that is what Canelo is giving back, although we can't discount the fact that he is making big money fighting this young guys but the risk is small for him to get upset and beaten. And if ever Canelo will lost here, I think Berlanga will be the new face of boxing, it's like passing of the torch. So let's see how Berlanga is, if he is the real deal or just another hype boxer from Puerto Rico.

Here is the weigh-in,



Berlanga = 167.5 lbs
Canelo = 166 and 3/4 lbs

Interesting to see that Canelo is light in this weigh-in, perhaps they really work hard for him to be within the weight limit. But as you Canelo is very relax while Berlanga seems to be on fire and wanted to fight already.

Don't forget to put your bet on this one, either over and under 6.5 or Canelo winning by knockout or going into distance.

^^ In a interview, Canelo says that he will really go and wanted to knockout Berlanga here, so that is a scary thoughts assuming that Canelo is very motivated right now as Berlanga could have irked Canelo because of his statement that he is going to also knock him out.

And obviously Berlanga is a huge underdog here, but I don't think that he has enough to give Canelo another L in his career. Canelo is too intelligent to be outsmarted by a boxing in Berlanga who has no experience and he didn't know what he brought himself up looking to fight Canelo.

And we have seen what Canelo can still do to these young fighters, and as want most of us predicted, it will be over 8.5 and Canelo winning by decision. So congrats to those who tailed this one, and I guess it's very easy on how we see Canelo dominating the fight.
