Should children be educated about Bitcoin?

I picked the second option. Bitcoin is here to stay and has been integrated into our lives. The industries will evolve with Bitcoin as part of them, so it is better to teach children at an age when they can understand what Bitcoin is and how important this technology is.
However, the approach should be customized to their age so they can fully comprehend this technology.

In my country Indonesian, many junior high school student around 12 to 15 years old have try to earn money trough bitcoin and altcoin by joining airdrop then spent half reward for investing in bitcoin.
Its would be their future investment and take much profit later exactly bitcoin more promising price increase years by years and when most of them grow up have much assets from bitcoin. I think bitcoin could be one source passive income since learned from 12 years old and growing up later will easily adopt with bitcoin feature.

Are you sure about this? Where do you get the data from? Which school are you referring to? It's pretty hard to believe that pre-teenage kids at those age (which is a middle-schooler) spend a lot of their time hunting airdrops. I heard our education system reduce homework to some degree but most children would rather spend their time playing games, at least that's what happened in my city. I can imagine things will be different in bigger cities where earning money as early as possible is a huge culture, not on other cities though. Btw, I'm specifically referring to the 12-15 age bracket. I'm pretty sure things are different when they become teenager since parents usually demand more contribution from their children, especially if they're not that well off. CMIIW.

I have chosen third option in the vote. I see no big reason why should I educate children about bitcoin. At first, they wont have much of an opportunity to use that knowledge and to use it often. Secondly, why should I even teach it? So they invest early? Or become developers? Until they are 18, I am on duty to provide them with everything, and I should not decide their faith, what if they never want to connect life with technology. Thirdly, I would let them experience, find out and learn everything themselves. They should not totally copy my life and my experience.

Currently, universities are offering programs in BTC and blockchain, but the general education system is not yet ready to teach concepts of crypto and blockchain to pupils under 18. Therefore, I don't think we need to overemphasize BTC education for children.

Each family should decide when to teach their children about money and the economy when they feel that their children are ready to learn about this topic. Personally, I consider BTC as an investment asset similar to gold, stocks, and real estate, so I will only introduce my children to the basic concepts of BTC. I prefer to guide my children in playing with price charts using technical indicators on TradingView ^^

This is what I really want if it happens—the one who, before finishing elementary school, has this idea and understanding of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that have potential in the market.

if the kid is already knowledgeable of payment methods i guess it will be easy to teach them unless you plan to make him learn the technical details of BTC including the mining.

i personally would just want them to learn to earn money for themselves and probably learn how to use BTC wallet and blockchain. learning to trade is possible i they are interested but i could stop after, they could decide what else they want to learn from there. i wouldn't encourage going deeper for i may interrupt their interest and pursuing their career of choice.

I think it is good for children to learn about Bitcoin and blockchain, but not because they are our children or our little brothers, but because learning how a technology focused on self-sufficiency works can give more emotional security and develop growth. Whether we like it or not, we live in an increasingly technological world, and the sooner these children learn to independently use the tools that can give them some privacy and financial freedom, the sooner they will learn to be autonomous.

I'd agree with OP, 12+ years old is already opening their minds to what we can teach them in life specially with things related to finances and investing. Whether you're wealthy or not, holds a lot of BTC or not, that makes sense to teach them as early as that age going on to their teenage days they will develop the habit of knowing more about Bitcoin and the importance of holding an asset. Yeah is a very good method to go about it because there is no way we would expect our children to understand Bitcoin the way we do because there level of understanding is still very little, so actually like you said the best way to go about it is using different forms to approach them such as the kind of game or toys you are talking about and perhaps the person can do it in such a way that everything about Bitcoin will be written on different toys and at the same time marking the ones you fill is not relevant for them as red so that when they sees anything red dot they would know that one is not good for them to play with.

In my last post about this topic, it is better if you let the children decide if they want to learn about crypto. In order to do that is telling them the benefits that a person can get when they own crypto. So if the children will say that they want to learn then the parents will surely support them unless they don't want their children to learn crypto at all.

I personally do not recommend children to learn about bitcoin because they will later know what bitcoin is from the internet, YouTube, and even from social media, because bitcoin is not the basis of education, it is more about investment and the right time to invest is probably over the age of 17, which can be said to be mature enough to manage their own money.

In my last post about this topic, it is better if you let the children decide if they want to learn about crypto. This is a process of learning and I don't think you need there consent since is a thing that will benefit them in the future, the only thing one needs to do is teach them little by little, make it look like a play, so they will enjoy it.
If you tell a child to decide going to school or staying at home the child will choose staying at home so you don't need consent from a child to educate them, it is very important to there lives so you need to teach them.
As the world is growing so the system is changing and technology taken over the world and you need to help your children step up and them knowing about Bitcoin in a small age is a very good advantage, a lot of people today are regretting why they didn't invest in Bitcoin 10 years ago and the reason a lot of people refuse to invest in Bitcoin is because they didn't understand how the modern economy system is going, not everything will be taught to children in school that is why we have the responsibility to teach them what will be of benefit to them when they come of age.

Well, that's right, the first step that can be done is to let them be interested in bitcoin first, because if they are interested in something, usually children will ask a lot of questions and there is an opportunity for us to explain more seriously.

This is just a matter of process, and in the process we must be very patient to be able to understand what children like or want. Don't let it be because we force them too much that they will not be interested in bitcoin at all.
