My First Karma, where did it come from, who sent it ??

I was very surprised, I got Karma with number 1 in my account.

But one side I don't know who sent this Karma to me, is this Karma a positive or negative thing in the altcoinstalks forum?

I have read this thread "How to get a positive Karma point (fast)" but I don't think I have done what is written in the thread.
And also I have read this thread "Earn Karma for posting quality content at our Partner site" but I don't think I have done what is written in the thread.

You get karma when someone reads your post and decides that they like what you’ve written - or if the post is helpful to that topic being discussed, there’s no pattern for posts that gets karma. As long as your post is helpful and relevant to the topic you’ll get karma (if people actually read it, but in cases where it get skipped you won’t get any).

On the thread you linked to your post, you’ll see that there’s an option available for you to see where karma is coming from and that is for you to acquire Eye of Saurus(sorry for my spelling) - but if you can’t afford to pay for it you’ll just have to keep using the forum without knowing where, who and what post earned you your karma. Which means you’ll have to make all your posts constructive if you wish to earn karma from all of them or most of them.

I almost forgot to mention; not all ranks can give out Karma - you’ll have to get to a certain rank before you’ll be able to give karma to a post you think is useful and also there’s a time limit for which you can give karma to the same user, which I think is “10 hours” I’m not sure if that’s that exact time though.

Just keep contributing to the forum you’ll surely get karma.

You are correct. It is 10 hours before an user can be able to send another Karma to the same users he sent Karma to.

I think it's another way to say thank you and it might be useful to help you join a signature campaign but I don't think campaign managers focus on it. If you don't get Karma, it's not bad, but negative Karma gives a negative impression about your account.

Users generally cannot see who gave the karma and also which posts were given karma, whether positive karma or negative karma.

However, if you want to get a detailed karma log, you can try the 'The Eye of Sauron' feature (note: this feature is paid):

It can be overwhelming to receive your first karma because you want to know what you did correctly, which warrants someone giving you one Karma so that you can likely do more of it to earn more Karma. To earn more karma, just keep being of value to the forum, contribute reasonably to discussions so someone can learn from you, and give your comment or post a karma, or maybe give you karma because someone will be able to learn from what you posted.

Well, it seems like this makes me think hard because when you want to open a hidden feature you have to pay, is this marketing from the Admin and Staff?
But the paid feature is not a problem for those who have the funds and are very interested in opening the locked feature, like this to open Karma Log you have to pay by burning ALTT tokens.

To earn more karma, just keep being of value to the forum, contribute reasonably to discussions so someone can learn from you, and give your comment or post a karma, or maybe give you karma because someone will be able to learn from what you posted.

It's just that, i just sent him the karma (from zero to one) after i got a telegram notification mentioning me, then few minutes later i got a notification of new thread (this thread) as i'm getting notified every thread created on this board. If it happens few hours later, maybe i won't remember it either 😅

Good that you use telegram bot notification. Without that, it is difficult to surf this forum. I am yet scared of the scammers den called telegram. The trauma of my past experience there is still disturbing me. I have reactivated my telegram account, hope to be active soon and start using the bot again. Both here and in the other forum.

Meanwhile, @Op, this is my first time of seeing karma excite someone. It is first merit that normally excite newbies.

You can just ignore them, and make sure you don't just joining any channels or group. Or if some random stranger message you without giving any reason on its first message better to delete and ignore the message/user just like i usually do. Lol. And last option is changing username.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Any user (as long as their rank is Sr. Member or higher) can give positive or negative Karma to your posts. If your posts are relevant and useful, and help the community, you are likely to get positive Karma from several users. A user can only grant Karma (positive or negative) to the same user every 10 hours, but can grant Karma to different users without restrictions.

In order to use Karma (positive and negative) it is only necessary that the user be a Sr. Member as I said above.
