Is it possible to recover if something bad happens to our Altcoinstalks account by securing email alone, such as theft or forgetting the password? No phone number? No 2fa?

I guess so, the account can be recovered in the same way but used to be a KYC system which was removed earlier this year due to the abuse of KYC badges from users by bypassing duplicate IDs.

That leads to manual recovery by the admin and it can be a lot faster here than bitcoin talk or at least for now.

But it is impossible for someone to change anything in your account without knowing the current password and also admin gave some insights about it recently.

Your passwords are safe, but do not have the same password used everywhere, because other platforms/sites/forums/etc.. might not have strict password encryption.

Isn't there one already? I remember seeing some members posting their staked message with an address in the forum section. It's a good idea as a secondary way to verify that you still control your account assuming you don't lose your old address. I also remember that some suggest us to change our password regularly using an open-source password manager to generate and save our password. I think that's neat since you don't have to remember too many password and avoid using the same one on multiple websites, which is one of the common ways where a malicious actor can get and access your account. Findingnemo as said it all. And I add it to what joniboini has said, since you have an bitcoin address in the forum and people have seen it therefore you can sign a message with the address then admin can look into it and if seen that the account is yours is hacking before then reset everything for you. Always secure your email, password and the account. Don't disclose them to anyone. If you login to someone device, make sure you logout and don't save your password in the device.

Every recovery account requires the inclusion of an administrator. for example, only the admin can reset a hacked account. Staking the address is not mandatory for all users, but it is highly recommended because it can significantly help the admin to recognize the real owner of the account.

For teleported account seems easily recovery their account from hacking by put their profile of altcoinstalk link at bitcointalk account, but for original altcoinstalk account need sign bitcoin message such as adopt with bitcointalk forum and there are not space for hacker using our account.

For stake your bitcoin address its not possibility for us using exchange wallet address for joining signature campaign, are there any way how to stake bitcoin address to protect if any scammer hack our account. I don't know all user using the blockchain bitcoin address and easily for staking but how possibility if bitcoin address us from binance exchange?

Actually we teleported from btt and entered alt forum due to which the information of both of us is same. But if we keep all the information confidential from our personal side then there is no possibility of hacking. However my suggestion to secure your altcoinstalks account is to turn on the 2fa system very quickly. It can happen from any source. On the other hand you can make your account stronger by verifying your account with kyc on alt forum, so you can use kyc if you want. However the admin of alt forum is always active and supports everyone so admin will help us, if we got hacking problem by someone.

How is it possible that you don't have your password for this forum? Automatic login means that you have a password manager that saved your passwords and automatically applies them on every given website or you simply don't delete your browsing history, cookies and cache?

As for signing the message from the BTC address, this should serve as the ultimate proof that you are the owner in case someone hacks your account - although if someone hacks your forum or e-mail access information, it is possible that they also have access to your crypto wallets and private keys, so he can sign a message from the same address.

RAT (remote access trojan) is a nasty thing that allows a hacker to take complete control of someone's device.

I've read a lot of interesting opinions from other members. They're really creative, and I've never thought of these solutions. I'm not a security expert, so I'll suggest some solutions I would use if my AltcoinsTalks account were compromised.

1. We have a Telegram forum. I'll try to contact the admin or mods to regain access to my account on AltcoinsTalks forum.

2. I have the blockchain address that has interacted with the forum address. I can send a small amount of ALTT token to the forum address as confirmation.

3. I've posted many screenshots from TradingView with the signature MrSpasybo. I can do that again to prove that I am the real MrSpasybo.

4. I can provide my IP address for the admin to cross-reference with my login history. The hacker can't be in my house to use my WiFi ^^

It is very easy for someone to impersonate your Telegram account. A rather insecure option for recovering a forum account

Quite complicated. You would first have to prove that the IP address is yours, and then that no one else is using it. Again, the one who is supposed to reason about it will never be 100% sure of the accuracy of everything.
Plus that way you are forced to give some personal information.

This may or may not be proof, because I assume that you do not have a static IP address but, like most, a dynamic one that changes at least once every 24 hours. Of course, the IP address can show a pattern indicating that you come from the same country/region, while hackers mostly try to hide their identity using VPN/Tor.

As for Wi-Fi hacking, everything depends on how you have set up your protection on the modem, that is, whether you use the highest possible protection with a strong password and whether you have turned off the WPS function, which enables a very simple intrusion into the wireless network, given that the hacker only needs to brute force number which (if I'm not mistaken consists of an 8-digit id).

In addition, with the right equipment, wireless networks can be hacked at a much greater distance than many people think - so we don't always have to blame the evil neighbors.

I realize that staking address is a pretty good option and works like 2FA with a different version, but I haven't realized the weakness of this option, unless our wallet is hacked by someone else. That worst possibility could happen, and the hacker will easily get the account connected to the wallet (if the hacker realizes this connection)
