People tends to always be in a haste to do airdrops immediately they get the information without a proper verification maybe because the source through which they get the information is the reliable one but sometimes they might share wrong or fake projects without them knowing only just to get referrals first before they take their time to look into it and realise what they might have shared is wrong but if from the end you notice it you could avoid it and call their attention to it so that they inform their followers but the lazy ones do not bother hence put people in risk of getting scammed.
We must investigate before making a decision to follow especially in the hype airdrop project, there are many frauds by sending fake links to make claims. they will take assets in our wallet when we click on the link.
As you said, for those who are in a hurry will be deceived and this usually happens to newbies.
Right, most of the time I have seen in new hype project, scammers try to stolen money from users/investors in different ways, as like they also created a new website and other social media accounts against real project, and they offering lucrative earning opportunity, and newbies who have no knowledge to research about a new project, and they are affected to lose their money by SCAM.

Theres alot of way to point out scams, the problem is the scammers now a days is become more smarter than the past, maybe they are also upgrading thier ways to earn through scam that is why they still find a victim specially to newbie, so we still need to be more extra careful about what we we do to avoid scam.

          -     You are right, just as the technology we have is improving, scammers are also improving a lot in this era. In fact, let's imitate scammers in terms of improving how to avoid them, not in the wrong thing they do, which is to steal money from others who will be their victims.

As they say, you can only defeat a smart person if you are smart, you cannot defeat a smart person if you don't know anything.
That's why we should really be vigilant at all times.

and usually they are not one person with different modes, with the intermediary of many social media and the development of the crypto world, this is a trigger and they make it the most fertile ground to work on. Currently, many want to get profit quickly and instantly as long as they do the money. Maybe at the beginning it is true but over time its users will be used as living ATMs for them to drain if not the initial funds cannot be withdrawn.

Yeah we have to be active in the forum so we can know the latest news about anything in the crypto world, because scammers always have ways and tricks to trap their victims.
We must always be careful with our wallet, whatever wallet we have if we are not careful it is likely to be hacked.

this just proves that no matter what kind of wallet you are using it is still not completely invisible to scammers or hackers and we still should put in extra precautionary measures no matter how confident we are when it comes to the wallets we are using

it does not have anything to do with rank no matter how active you are in the forum and no matter how much you think you know everything there is to know in the forum if you do not apply what you know then you are still under a big threat of being hacked or scammed

We must always be careful with our wallet, whatever wallet we have if we are not careful it is likely to be hacked.

If people with experience can be tricked by scammers, they can trick anyone. Sometimes, we do not pay full attention when we browse the internet or when we talk to our friends. Sometimes, the scammers pretend to be your friend and ask for loans. Before they reach you, they study about you and your friend so they can convince you.

The number of scam attempt has been increased a lot lately and some Bitcointalk forum members become victims of those hacks. If you check the scam accusation board, you will learn how they are doing it. Do not ever trade via Telegram.

Information on scams can be seen on platforms and it takes an active member to be able to get updates on happenings on crypto via platforms.  Not only that, it is also good that we play our role in making sure we stay safe because it is not all about just getting information, but how we utilize the information also matters. Even after listening to some, people still fail to take caution and still make mistakes which gives scammers access to their details to steal from them. For instance, not updating of phone's Android version and outdated apps could also make your device porous because the security features and that version needs to be updated to the current because at that old outdated stage it is, it could be very dangerous making your device weak and easy to be accessible by hackers.

For instance, not updating of phone's Android version and outdated apps could also make your device porous because the security features and that version needs to be updated to the current because at that old outdated stage it is, it could be very dangerous making your device weak and easy to be accessible by hackers.

That rarely happens if your device is already infected by a malware. If you browse the internet carefully and do not download files from unknown sources, you are okay with old versions of Android. I am still using a phone that I bought back in 2021, which is an Android 10, and it's still running smoothly. If I do not install apps from unknown sources and do not do stupid things, I don't think I am going to be affected.

But as you may already know, I have been scammed before due to my own mistake and my device had nothing to do with my mistake. I was dumb enough not to check the email sender carefully and connected my metamask wallet in a phishing website. So, I am the one to blame for that incident.

Yeah we have to be active in the forum so we can know the latest news about anything in the crypto world, because scammers always have ways and tricks to trap their victims.
We must always be careful with our wallet, whatever wallet we have if we are not careful it is likely to be hacked.
The forum is actually very useful for any community, including crypto, which always provides very new knowledge from day to day, and we must always follow it properly because, to avoid what you say, there are fraudsters who can always trap anyone and become their victims. Of course, we don't want that, so we always keep updating, the information available so that especially our wallets cannot be hacked by the fraudsters.

just being in this forum alone will allow you to see the newest scamming methods so you will learn a lot from reading constantly

Not only on this forum, BitcoinTalk is also a good forum where people share a lot of information. A couple of months ago, a Legendary Forum member was scammed, and the scammer drained his entire crypto wallet even though he was using a hardware wallet. He received a NFT in his address, and he tried to claim that NFT was putting his seed phrases on a phishing website.

That case actually proved that no matter what your rank is, if you do not stay up to date with the newest scam methods, you are likely to become a victim in the future. So, if you want to stay updated, be active on the forums.

Staying informed on information about fraud is definitely relevant, particularly concerning the crypto sphere which is actively evolving and is characterised by various forms of threats. Basically, gaining knowledge by itself is a bad idea if we fail to use itappropriately when addressing the security challenges of our buildings. There are many people who already know the risks but they continue to be careless when it comes to protection, thus, there are many cases of data theft or hacking that the public encounters. Another area that most of the users ignore is updates, which also plays a significant role in defending the PC from the existing gaps that hackers can use to intrude into the system. Defending oneself is not only an individual responsibility but also everyone must ensure that they help the next person to be cautious since there is always danger that lurks around.

Our big brothers are warning us every moment so that we do not fall into the trap of any fraudster. But even then we do not pay attention to their posts and look very carefully at what the fraudsters offer us. If any fraudster tells us that you invest here, you will get a good profit, we go crazy to invest there but we invest there without doing any research about it, so we regret it later. So I think we will not move forward without doing a good research about any exchange and side. Thank you all.

Using your common sense should really be that enough but because if you are really that mindful when it comes to things thats happening around and since we are talking about money then it will be just that too impossible that you cant be able to determine about good offer or something which is really that too good to be true. We do know that there are tons of people who do get victimized when it comes to ponzi and scams out there because they do believe that it is really that indeed possible on which this is where they do fall out into the trap because of that wrong beliefs. Same goes with those hacks because of carelessness, there are tons of things on which can possibly resulted into losing money.

The forum is great to get something you won't get from usual sources - opinions and details on concrete questions.
It's great to see more perspectives on different things, yet, it would only give clues to a person. All the rest is done by research.
