Casimero will be back in action after almost a year of inactivity.
This will be held in Japan which i think if Casimero will win convincingly, this might be his ticket to a fight with Naoya Inuoe.
Good thing Casimero got an offer for an inactive boxer like him. It's better to give his very best to tell the world what he still got because i already doubt his skills as he get older. He become too slow, no signature move, no entertaining skills, i also think that his fights makes the crowd get bored based on his previous fights.

He has a Japanese manager so he needs to get promoted by him. And he is lucky that his is being exposed to the Japanese market in this fight. The Japanese market seems to be very lucrative, besides the power broker from Saudi Arabia, Japan seems to be where fighters wants to show their skills as Japanese crowds are very likely smart and appreciate great fights.

His chance to fight Inoue become so slim, that man keep winning, 2 fights in every year, the crowd and hype are still there he already dominated superbantam division i bet he will go higher division in the next two years, while Casimero is getting older with no achievements unlike on his early years.

Slim to none, Inoue will be moving up to Featherweight division. While Casimero will content to be fighting at bantamweight as he is too small to be at 126 lbs. And with father time, I don't see him have time in his career, no offense meant to his fans here.
I think it will be more exciting to see Inoue fight outside of his comfort zone. Seeing him fight on higher divisions is I think a must for him after devastating opponents from his current division and this is one of his challenges in addition to fighting outside of Japan.

Inoue is fighting opponents in Japan because this is where he is more known and people pay to see him fight in the country. outside Japan, he isn't going to be seen like a big boxing star. so fighting someone as popular as Floyd in US will likely bring money for him. his team afaik considers Tank Davis to be one prospect whose qualified to have this criteria.  ;D  this could be the reason he need to move up the weight class just to make fights outside Japan.

The money Inoue would get fighting in Japan is larger than him fighting in the US, they just see to it that his opponents are already popular in Japan.

As to the fight with Tank Davis, i don't think that would happen because the latter is so big, maybe a catchweight at 126-lbs but i don't think Davis will go down to the featherweight division just to fight Inoue.

Yes, the Saitama Arena and other venue that Inoue fight in Japan, it was always sold out and if I'm not mistaken, he can fill a 50,000 stadium. So that will translate in a lot of money from his Japan fights alone.

Nevertheless, the boxing world wanted to see him fight outside specially in the US, that's why we are clamouring about it and the good news is that Bob Arum has confirmed already that he will be fighting in the US soil next year so that is good enough news for us already. It will just depend on who will be his opponent if he goes to America.

I recently watched fight between Saul Sanchez and Arthur Villanueva, and I must say, Sanchez demonstrated impressive skills and strategy. Based on his performance, I believe he has the potential to defeat Johnriel Casimero. If Casimero doesn’t put in the necessary effort and training for their upcoming fight, Sanchez might just seize the opportunity to win the Inoue sweepstakes. It’s worth noting that Sanchez has garnered some popularity in Japan as some of his fights were held there.

What do you think guys, do Casimero could still deliver a convincing win this time or Sanchez might be the one who will force him to retire?

This is Casimero's ticket to get back to stardom and a way for him to challenge Inoue's supremacy in the division, he is all talks when it comes to Inoue, now he needs to walk his talk.

Saul is not really someone who can give Casimero a good challenge if Casimero is on his old form but we are curious on Casimero's status, he has been on a long layoff if he is off, Saul can surprise him and upset Casimero, so this is a big acid test for Casimero.

Yes, that's why Casimero shouldn't underestimate Sanchez here as the latter could be a live underdog. And we have been saying that Casimero's game have been declining since he goes up  to this division, so there is still a chance that Sanchez might pull a big upset here.

That's why all the pressure is on Casimero here, he will be fighting in Japan and so he has to show not just his Filipino fans, but Japanese as well that he can still pull the trigger and who knows, maybe get another crack at the super bantamweight belt in the future.

I agree that the pressure is on Casimero. This is his last fight under the Treasure Boxing Promotion, so he needs to prove he still has what it takes to secure another contract. Although Sanchez is considered a live underdog and the odds haven’t been released yet, I believe Casimero will be the favorite to win this fight.

I was not aware that this is the last fight of Casimero under the Treasure Boxing Promotion, how time flies, and yet he didn't have a good fight under this banner so not sure if they are willing to re-sign him again. So in any case, Casimero's back is against the wall here, and he should really show us something so that under promotions might be interested on him.

And he should be at least the favorite, maybe not that big, but still with his record as a former champion, he should be at least the favorite and Sanchez as a live dog to make this fight more interesting.

Re: [Boxing] Johnriel Casimero vs Saul Sanchez 122-lb October 13

I recently watched fight between Saul Sanchez and Arthur Villanueva, and I must say, Sanchez demonstrated impressive skills and strategy. Based on his performance, I believe he has the potential to defeat Johnriel Casimero. If Casimero doesn’t put in the necessary effort and training for their upcoming fight, Sanchez might just seize the opportunity to win the Inoue sweepstakes. It’s worth noting that Sanchez has garnered some popularity in Japan as some of his fights were held there.

Or it could be his last fight as no one will pick him up if he shows another disappointed fight for us. That's why he need to give his all here, not just to win, but score a knockout so that he wil stay relevant at 122 lbs.

Forget about chasing Inoue, he will be making up his move up in the weight class at featherweight next year. Casimero can stay in this division and dominate or even become a champion and that what he should be looking at.

^^ Yes, I do agree, Inoue should train and focus on this fight, it's barely two weeks from now so he better be 100% ready when he goes to Japan. And I'm expecting him to be at least a week before to travel to Japan so that he can acclimatized himself as it's two different climate in the Philippines and Japan. And I believed that it's going to be cold in their and that Casimero might not used to it.

That is also a big factor that they should look to, the weather. But I think his Japanese handlers are already aware of that, and so they can bring him early in Japan so that he can adjust.

And for sure they can also have a lot of Japanese sparring partner that they can put against him as his Japanese promoters have a lot of fighters in his stable too.

Speaking of readiness, Johnriel Casimero was reportedly at 127 lbs the other day, just 5 pounds over the weight limit with 9 days to go. I believe there will be no weight issues for Quadro Alas this time, unlike the previous problem he faced before the supposed fight with Butler.

Hopefully he will not go overweight in this fight as he has history already. Although I think he can easily shred that extra pounds but hard training, sauna and extreme diet and then go back and rehydrate after the weight in.

I haven't followed his social media though, not sure why it is not showing on my feed, hehehe.

But still he has a lot of work to do in the last week or so, like adjusting in the Japan weather as well.

It will really be good for Casimero if he will have multiple sparring partners in preparation for this fight.

Hmm, I'm not really sure about his weight, at 127 close to fight already? He should be at least within the limits at 124 lbs because it's going to be very difficult to shred that excess weight with one week to go.

And so he is on the familiar territory again, not to try to bash him or what, but he should have someone in his team to look for his weight and knows how he can shred that without hurting him physically. I'm not sure if he has professional dietitian on this team?
