i think watching sports and betting geos hand in hand even if there’s nothing really on the line

“I bet this team will win” or “I hope this team loses” those are almost betting statements and the only thing missing is the prize/consequence so if it’s official that there’s something on the line then it makes it more exciting i think humans are inherently competitive that’s why

Mine is watching basketball and a friendly bet with my friend is exciting because you get immersed in the game because you are rooting for a team to win. It keeps the game engaging from start to finish, as you both share the thrill of competition

Of course, I’m not saying you should bet on every game before watching it... I'm just saying that human psychology is difficult to understand. Sometimes a 1$ bet or a drink can change the whole atmosphere...(as long as it's for entertainment and done responsibly)

I think most of the gambler have these kinds of experience in their life even if the face it only for one time. I have experience these kinds of fun while doing multiple times and also enjoying like this in some time. And want to also say that event then it is with the friend and as like a local physical gambling so that I want to say we should also responsible on this like when we have the fund for the gambling there is no worries but when we have not available fund in our hand for the gambling we shouldn't to even these kinds of betting.

There are various reasons why friendly matches are been played, some are for just casual pre season matches, for honuring health people like cancer, entertainment and many more. So, I thinks it's reasonable to watch thr friendly match for what it was organize rather than bet on them. If you so desire to bet on any game, but on other matches that are not friendly.

I don't like to bet on friendly match because of performance compression, players don't do much and don't like to stress their self because a friendly match is meant to be friendly, there is nothing to give but just complement of your efforts. It's not wise to bet here.

even tho most athletes are competitive in nature and doesn’t seem to be an ‘off’ button for their competitiveness since there’s not much really at stakes in terms of their career they seem to just have fun and not take it too seriously it is still fun because there might be some moments where as a fan you would enjoy but you shouldn’t expect a top level kind of performance in friendly games

We have to spend only as much money as we can afford even if we lose money.  For those who gamble, I will tell them that these are not right. After gambling with loans, if we lose the gambling, there will be no way to pay back the loan money, so we should refrain from borrowing. I now understand that we cannot waste extra time on gambling.  Waste of extra time will lead to addiction to gambling. So we should gamble in leisure time and never choose gambling as profession.

The friendly match was just to measure how far they could develop and moreover the coach often experimented in the strategies they applied, that means they were not in a state of fully targeting victory.

It was very risky to bet on this match, and for me personally it also did not make me more happy to watch the match, because from the beginning I knew they were not playing at their best but were experimenting that might be useful in the real competition.

Well yeah we are just there for entertainment purposes just like placing bets in video games whoever the loser is then he will be the one paying for the snacks or drinks that's fun most of the times not unless he is having a bad day that most losses wwas on his pick so yeah depends on what really is a friendly games.

I have seen lots of cases people are attempting sui*cide because he could not payout the loan fund which he wasted on the gambling. i heard of these people who killed themselves due to gambling debts. i saw a thread about the kid who used the money meant for school fees in a casino, he lost and was very afraid of his parents to know. he jump from the building. crazy stuff but it happened, i think that was from Nigeria.

this is what happens if kids take gambling seriously while they spend money they didn't earn. its best to just bet with friends at least friends will understand you were just kids.

As far as it's a soccer match, I don't think I have ever found my heart racing to it before because of bets I have with my friend over a match win. It's always that we bet with little money to know who analyzes a match better. Anyone who got the match-winning right goes home with the money, but before that, we would have to talk a whole lot and castigate the performance of the team we bet on to win. That's the fun of it.

Well, I truly enjoy a game when I bet on it because I don't really watch matches that much without betting and for me the only thing that matters is the bet not the match itself. Surely, I become happy when my bet becomes a winning bet, however if it doesn't I never get sad. Just enjoy the betting experience and forget about the game itself.

It's not on soccer for me though, but it's basketball.

I still remember the time where there's this NBA finals a few years ago between the Celtics and the Warriors back in 2022 where I put my bet on the Warriors since they're the teams that I support while my relative picked the Celtics. The bet wasn't that huge back then, but to cut the story short, I won obviously and that's the time where the Warriors won their 4th ring.

In every game, we're screaming until it came to a point where our neighbor is already angry at me because of how hyped we are at that time. Right now, I can't find any relative of mine that's into basketball hence, I'm not betting with them anymore, but I'm still watching. Overall, putting bets makes the experience more entertaining and exciting.

This is different for me. When I bet on a game, I do not feel comfortable watching it.This will elicit unnecessary emotions, especially if the outcome of the game is not in your favour. This will spoil the fun of the game, and when the bet is on a person's football club, the heart beats even faster.

The reasons for this are that watching your club lose is painful, especially for a diehard fan, and also losing money in the process will upset the gambler greatly. In some cases, such a gambler will end up abusing a specific player or the entire football club.
